Bethesda turns to Bioware for lore.

Post » Thu Oct 06, 2011 6:10 am

I may have missed some lore from Oblivion so if this "circle" has been mentioned previously then okay.

But an achievement says something about joining the circle, I imagine this is the mages guild? So they 1:1 borrowed terminology from Dragon Age? :/ Not very imaginitive.

This is false. The College of Winterhold is the mages guild, the circle sounds like something like the knights of the nine... probably the speakers of The Voice.

You are presuming quite a lot, nobody ever said that the Circle is a magic group.

The OP is serriously disturbing...

And even if they share achievment name, does that suddenly mean they "Turn to Bioware for lore" ? No, it does not...

Edit: Besides, the achievment for joining the mages guild is not named "Joining the cricle" It's named... ---[ACHIEVMENT SPOILER]----------------------------------------------------------------------v

I am telling you guys, its the speakers of The Voice. Most likely in the temple at the tip of the Throat of the World. It makes the most sense.

Considering Dragon Age lore is laughable in it's depth I seriously doubt they'd need to steal anything.

I thought of the idea of a magic group called "The Circle of Rigmor" way before Dragon Age: Origins came out, does that mean I invented the circle?

actually... they already named the achievement for mages guild and thats not it... 2.. TES isn't barrowing lore from anywhere.
and 3... morrowind had a circle.. for the imperial legion.. it was the council that appraised talos.. which.. the empire banned.. and i'm guessing the stormcloaks may be pro talos... and possibly return the council to order.. being that circle of 6 or 7 leaders it had.

Bioware actually traveled back in time to steal the circle from Euclid, who in turn possibly stole it from the Assyrians or something. I got nuthin'....

Well obviously you are ether misquoting something to get a rise out of people, or you simply misunderstood what it was you where looking at. I have personally scoured EVERYTHING about this game I can get my hands on, and there has been no mention of a circle to the best of my knowledge. Especially associated with the mages guild.
