six/marriage in RPGs is so fake and boring. But keep the children in as reality.

Dragons in RPGS have been generic and boring, does that mean Bethesda shouldn't add those either?

I can see if you don't want six/marriage in the game just because you don't like it in your games, but the argument that it has been done bad before so they can never do it good is hardly a compelling one.

Where do you get this "we" [censored]? I don't want any of'em myself, and children least of all because of a certain "required condition" on their in-game existence.

EDIT: And anyway, isn't this thread just a wee bit redundant? http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1166736-six-children-and-marrige/

Well, they're putting children in the game and they aren't putting six/marriage in the game so whoop-de-doo. Lots to discuss in this thread!

How will there be children if no six?

I hope you realize how silly this question is.

There will be marriage, I can tell you.

There will be no six because you don't need to see six for it to exist, it would give the game an advlt only rating without adding any gameplay value and minimal immersion value, it would be disgusting to see lizard people or cat people getting it on and last, but not least, it would be very difficult to add all the animations and game elements required to make it work and become a big waste of Bethesda's time.

The title reminds me of a Marx's communist manifesto. I don't suppose there is anyone else here who would know what I'm talking about.

Well how did Fred and Wilma have pebbles? They don't even sleep in the same bed.

Same way I guess. :D

I don't want children. Fallout 3 if it told me anything is, NO CHILDREN in the game.

I was going to say this myself.

Perhaps the OP believes he's royalty and is entitled to speak in the royal "we." Or perhaps...well, the other options are insulting.

Realism? are you joking? they tried this with Fallout and we all know how that ended. Every PTA moron went "ZOMG FOAR TEH CHILDREN!!" and it made kids unkillable, which almost COMPLETELY broke Little Lamplight.

That's exactly what we need for Skyrim, a bunch of arrogant brats running around and unless you mod it on the PC, you have to deal with it.

And before anyone says I'm overreacting, I'm one of those guys that killed half of Cyrodiil just because I overheard another conversation concerning Mudcrabs.

Childrens?...
Can we sell them to slavery?...

Oh, damn it!, it's only in Morrowind that slavery is legal!

Is it fake and boring, or has it just not been implemented that well yet. Listen I doubt there will be any romance in this game. TES has never been big on that. Would I love to be able to visit a prosttute in the game, sure why not! Other installments had this (at least Daggerfall did). There has been nudity and prostitution, but it was just an immersion tool IMO. Some want children, some want marriage, but all in all these are just extras. If they are in the game, and implemented well then I will enjoy them. If not I will wait for them to be modded in, or simply pretend that I'm hooking up with a Nordic Hottie (contradiction!?!).

Duude! What makes you think that it can be done right? TES games NEVER take the control away from the player. Beth would never add interactive six scenes.

Who the hell is "we"? Just because YOU and some other members of this forum (which makes up a FRACTION of the overall player base) might want something or feel a certain way... does not mean the whole community feels that way, which is what you imply by saying "we want". So next time you make a thread, remember that you are not speaking for anyone but yourself, and sticking "we" in the title does not make your point sound more valid or important then it otherwise would be.

On your topic: Children are realistic, but six and marriage aren't? That makes a TON of sense... /sarcasm

Seriously how does that make any sense at all? I don't really care if any of the three are in the game (although I'm not against them either), but if you feel so strongly against them at least have a logical reason why they are a bad idea. I know people around here don't like to hear this but I thought Fable did six/Marriage/Children just fine. If their system was tuned a bit more, it would have been quite realistic and enjoyable. Not to mention funny as hell at times. Not saying Bethesda should borrow it from Fable, but just that if they did it would be fine in my book.
