There's probably hundreds of threads regarding the possible release date for the next Elder Scrolls game. My question is slightly different. Are they even working on it yet? Between elder scrolls games, it's usually, what..4-5 years? 6 maybe? Around there. So here's my question:
Does Fallout 4's release mean another 4-5 year wait for ES6, or is it 4-5 years (has to be 5 now at the earliest, since Fallout 4 is out this year and they won't release two games in the remaining months) since Skyrim came out?
Thanks to anyone who can anolyze this better than I can, or at least make an educated guess. I'm not familair with all of their past releases (Only started playing in Oblivion) So I'm hoping somebody can anolyze their typical release date schedule for past fallout and elder scrolls games. It would seem like they are on track, and we might see the next ES game as early as next year. I say this because the last Fallout game came out in 2010, and it's now 2015- that was a 5 year development time window. Skyrim came out in 2011, and oblivion in 2006. That was also a 5 year gap. I'm not counting fallout 3 and new vegas as entirely separate games, really- they used many of the same assets, models- aside from gameplay mechanics and the world, they were very similar games.
