Slightly off topic but does anyone know how to convert the contents of the readme.txt files so I can use Babelfish or Google or x to translate the original Russian into English?

Again notepad++ (linked above) can change the encoding of the file. It should detect and change the encoding automagically.

:embarrass: In my defense the readme is weirdly formatted so I'm basically facing a wall of text, but sorry anyway. It seems to work fine now.

Let me guess: The text in the readme appears to be one long sentence... with no line breaks?
I find this to be a common problem with readme .TXT files. I think a lot of people who write these readme's use something other than Windows XP or Vista as the Notepad in these OS's seem to interpret the carrage returns in .TXT files differently.

I discovered a simple solution for such hard-to-read .txt files:
Simply rename the .TXT extension to .RTF. That's it! Apparently, using Wordpad with the Rich Text Format correctly interprets the carrage returns in XP and Vista, where it would otherwise fail.

EDIT: I've tried Notepad++, but personally I just don't care for it. All I need is a plain vanilla notepad that actually works, but Notepad++ is practically a full blown word processor.

Fair enough, Notepad++ isn't for everyone. I love it because it is the most feature-rich text editor out there. For anyone who has done any coding, it is a life saver.

Files saved in Linux or Mac OS X do have different carriage returns. A decent text editor (like notepad++) will handle that automatically. However the Russian files are another story, as they are saved in a different encoding.

I just checked out Better Daedric and noticed that it isn't made for Better Bodies. It's very noticeable with Daedric as you get a space between the boots and the greaves. So that would be another wish besides female cuirasses - versions for Better Bodies when appropriate (is it Chitin that has the same space? I never use light armor so I'm not sure).

Yes, dwemer ruin bump mapping. this is a replacer both meshes and textures. very nice metal feeling.

the better soul gems are included in the better items 2 pack. also a replacer. few things are over done with bump mapping, such as a big bowl. others looks nice.

I checked them ingame, the fire part of light stuff [torch.logpit...] looks like oblivon stuff. the smoke is too much to me, so i remove that by nifscope. now they looks perfect.

I highly recommend you and everyone see the torch.

anyone download the "clif ricer" mod ? see the download size, I guess it include new meshes .anyone traslet it ?

Well, the Google translation of the http://translate.google.co.uk/translate?u=http%3A%2F%2Ftesall.ru%2Ffiles%2Fauthors%2Fej-12%2F%3Fpage%3D1%23cliff-racer&sl=ru&tl=en&hl=en&ie=UTF-8 suggests that it's more than just a new beastie model.

Yes, Daedric will be redone. It was one of HH's first works, I believe he was just experimenting.

Hopefully, HH will finish his Better Armor package before the New Year, so Morrowind will look much better in 2009! :)

Can't wait for Daedric.

I wonder if he'll do artifacts as well.

In some cases (i.e. Imperial) they are more than meshes/textures replacers but, anyway, they all use esp's so you'll get the Russian names for everything otherwise. Quite easy to "fix" in the CS I'd guess.

That's cool he's redoing those sets, his work is great. For anyone unsure about whether these are good or not - they look WAY better in game. Especially the roman imperial armor, the screenshots do NOT do the sets justice. They don't look as ridiculous as you might think, they fit very well.

The one complaint I have is that some armors make wearing robes clip like crazy, and most capes don't show. It's worth it though, and this guy's work is just getting better and better (his last 3 sets are KILLER!) :D

Perhaps you're talking about new revisions - otherwise all three are out in Russian versions and Painkiller_rider has released partial translations. Orcish looks amazing (one of my favourite HedgeHog sets so far) and Indoril is nice as well.

Not sure what "partial" means here - but all armor parts seem to be in English as far as I've seen. :)

That is nice to know, the download is extremely slow (only 10 to 20 kb/sec)
but that can not be helped. I assume he has those armors on a personal server
that doesn't have the same speed as my IP provider, oh well i have the day of
so no harm done. :D

EDIT: A question about the bone armor. Actually about the
plugins made by Von Djangos and the one made by Painkiller_rider. Do i first
need to load the one from Von Djangos and then the one from Painkiller_rider.

Or do i only need to use one of them?
