Hey, All
Actually, it's not too hard to create new BB skins for new races.
You just need something like NifTexture (for assigning the new texture to your custom mesh)
and your favorite "paint" program (Paint Shop Pro, Adobe, GIMP, etc.) Oh, and maybe a dds-tga converter.
Anyway, just make copies of an existing BB mesh (1 male/1female, natch), rename it to your liking (they're usually called something like "bb_skinf_br.nif," based on the race).
Then, find the associated texture (for BB, they are .dds files, with the same name as the .nif) and recolor/repaint it (and name it something else).
I like Orc and Breton skins, since the lighter coloration allows playing with the hues without losing finer details in the end (tga files tend to deteriorate the more times you save 'em, and they are what my paint program likes).
Then you associate your new texture with your new .nif (using NifTexture, for example -- get the whole pathway correct, or it won't show up!!).
Then the hard part -- associating your new "skin" in the CS with every body part for the males and females of your new race.
Got to do "hands" separately (especially if you're making the new race "playable"), but that's still only 4 meshes/textures.
And heads and hair are a whole other, separate story (but then, why not just use Bethaliz's originals? Nothin wrong with 'em).
For that matter, you can probably cut/paste the artwork from Bethaliz's original skins onto the proper place on the BB texture (for stuff like scales, necklaces, shell decorations, etc. if ya don't feel like drawing them yourself).
Probably best to have somebody like Westly or Plankye (who are real "artistes") to advise you further, but just thought I'd drop by and throw in my two cents/euros/pesos.
