Better Bodies mesh editing problem

Post » Mon Mar 24, 2014 3:07 am

Hello,

I'm trying to create a new mesh based on Better Bodies mesh. It will be used for underwear: separate top (shirt slot) and bottom (pants slot). That is why I need it to be exactly the same shape as the body. I already have a texture that matches the BB UV maps, so I don't want to use modders resources meshes that uses different UV mappings, like Nioliv ones (the only graphical program that I'm "good" at is MS Paint ).

So, the problem is that when I try to use BB mesh with different texture attached via nifskope, as a wearable clothing pants (groin body part) the upper part of the texture is not visible unless I also attach chest body part in CS. I can't do that due to obvious conflict with upper part of the underwear (shirt slot).

Is it possible to merge 2 different NiTriShape parts of the BB mesh (Tri Chest 95, Tri Groin 99) into one and attach it to just Groin part? Step by step guide would be really helpful as I'm green when it comes to mesh and graphic editing programs. I hope that someone will be able to help me out with this problem.

I think what you want should be possible, but I'm getting muddled trying to follow along. I think you want the bra and panties both attached to the groin?

You should just be able to name both the bra mesh and panty mesh "Tri Groin 0" and "Tri Groin 1". It sounds like the issue is that your bra mesh is named "Tri Chest 95" It will not show up as a "groin" part unless it is named "Tri Groin X".

Let me know if that helps, if not, shoot the mesh(es) over to me and I can take a look and walk you through it (provided I can get it working, these things are pretty touchy and aggravating).
