Better Clothes Question

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 2:53 am

I'm using the nac version of Better Clothes - the one that doesn't have the Tailoring Kit and argonian scripts. (Thanks MCP for making these no longer necessary.) But I noticed it still has the clothing with the arg_ prefix in the esp. Are these actually needed for the nac version or were they just left in there by the modders?

I ask because they create conflicts with their updated versions in More Better Clothes and I'd rather just delete them so they don't add to my merged objects count.

hi,

what kind of conflicts are you referring too?
wouldn't it be enough to just load more better clothes after better clothes?

also, i guess the arg_ - files were just left in, as you said, and not applied ingame.
(purely speculative, though)

never experienced problems with the two mods so far... (in fact, three mods with better clothes for TB)

http://btb2.free.fr/morrowind.html made an integrative version of both, maybe this is for you?
(nac-version as well, along with some hilarious remarks about lizard briasts :D)

More Better Clothes adds new arg_ versions of the clothing that it updates. There are no compatibility problems between the two mods; its just that the conflicts do add to TESTool's merged objects scan and since I get the crash bug with that program, I like to trim away any unnecessary conflicts from my load order.

Logic says that they are just junk files in the nac esp, but I only have a rudimentary grasp at modding and there is a script in the mod, so maybe the script wants them in there, etc etc. In other words, I'd rather be safe than get errors later.
