Your signature needs to be amended...

I bet she's pretty close to the character limit already. ;)

Yeah, I'm at the character limit already, and everything's already tiny-url'd. :lmao:

I'm glad you like the house so much, though. Worth the work in every way.

IF YOU ARE UPDATING FROM AN OLD VERSION, YOU MUST MAKE A CLEAN SAVE.
That means fully uninstall the old version first, then launch the game again and make a new save. Then install this version.
Before you uninstall the old version, make sure that if you've completed the DB quest chain, you've activated the lever marked "Decommission Sanctuary" near the well exit.

Is it a must, to complete the DB quest chain before updating?

Loving this mod by the way. :foodndrink:

Nope! You can install the mod or update it at any time, regardless of how far along you are in the DB quest line. B)

Lighting and textures have been improved throughout.
Switches have been added in some places to control lighting for performance or aesthetics.

Cool. I thought the previous version was a little too-well lit.

You can now tell Arquen what to do with her torch.

Per request, a preview image of the hood types has been included.

Installation is now manual, with all base meshes & textures packed in a .bsa file.

Thank you!

Edit: *Sigh* I just can't win. Per the instructions, I disabled my OMOD 2.3, rebuilt the patch, and started the game. Everything worked great until I tried to load my latest save, then the game promptly crashed. I tried again - same result.

Long story short: I've tried every possible permutation I can think of - I can no longer load a save or start a new game with either version installed, OR with BDBS gone from my load order entirely. What did I do wrong??

I have no idea! :(

If your old save doesn't work with the old version in its old place in your load order, then there's gotta be something else going on. Did you change anything else about your game?

That's what I figured too - I've never had this happen before. I didn't change anything else, though... I haven't played in a few days. All I did was disable the OMOD, rebuild my patch, and then attempt to start the game. Something I've noticed, though: if you delete a mod from the Data folder and it has information in the bashed patch, Wrye Bash won't disable the patch. Not sure why - maybe I should post in the WB thread?

If it did disable the patch automatically, you'd have just as many complaints about that too. :P Importing data from a plugin to the bashed patch does not always create dependency. But yeah, that's another topic.

Did you have any other patches for BDBS that you forgot to remove, maybe? Or are you trying to use new patches that you don't have masters for?

Interesting... We'll have to add compatibility for this one.

Me in particular, or is that a general "you"? I expect it, because it normally happens if you disable something with bash tags.

No and no. I'm not getting the "missing master" crash, though if I remove BDBS, my saves in WB turn red (missing master). If I put it in the load order without activating it, they're green, and if I activate it (either version), they turn purple. Whatever color they are, though, nothing works. :(

Welp, I'm at a loss. I'll keep stewing on it, but I can think of no reason that should happen that's related to the mod. All I can think it it's something to do with your new bashed patch, but I'm sure you've tried de-activating that already, etc...

I figured it out. Turns out it was a BSA problem, not anything related to this mod (or any others). Sorry for the mixup. :)
