Vampires have always been sixy??

http://www.therationalradical.com/images03/nosferatu.jpg. the first Vampire Movie... I must say he looks very sixy :P

The sixy part of Vampires was probably introduced in Twilight or something^^

Nosferatu wasent the first, I believe i read somewhere that he was a ripoff of something els. Also in many older stories vampires have been considered rather charming, maybe not "sixy" but charming

I hope so, especially the Female Vampires. They looked too much like a man instead of a woman.

yes, they are not sixy, they possess an ability to charm their prey, it is how they lull and lure their food,

EDIT: i mean how do you find an UNDEAD woman sixy? obviously its a charm spell, NECROPHILIACS

i didnt mean my part at twilight to you i noticed you said you didnt like that and i dont blame you, twilight is a gimick to sell merchandise and make money at the box office to stupid little teen girls and it has ruined the worldwide lore of vampires and everything alike, and yeah morrowind the vampire looked cool and non human but thats the way it should, and skyrim should have similar ones and i cant wait, provided that beth does not break the lore, which i have a bad feeling about

EDIT: i mean do you actually know how many stupid little girls actually believe in this crap? would love for a vampire to come to them and allow them to join them with immortality, becoming loving of the living and sensitive and...OH GOD PLEASE, MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON THEIR SOULS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think there is a certain balance - vampire is a reanimated corps, and that should always be kept in mind, but they although should be good at making people disregard that knowledge, like the deep fish that hunts putting out the small "lantern" :) The paradox of vampire is in a fact that people know what thous things are, but they are charming, fascinating, captivating, and if the situation requires, sure, sixy enough to make mortals loose their mind and end up in a vampire teeth. It's the moth to the flame situation.
Teenage media promotes one side while disregards the other. Sure a teenage girl should thing a vampire is a wonderful thing... Yet the media that gives a happy ending to such a thought is a joke. The stories of ancient vampires falling in love with teenagers and being "good" are just nauseating. Teenage girls are food, and that's how it supposed to be.
So I'm all for making Skyrim vampires attractive in their own frosty way, but object to making them "good" in any way. Humans are food and playthings, and occasional nuisance :D

slyme - LOL yep that movie was awesome :D

I rather hope they don't have Anne Rice style vampires, either. Gag.

Give me Brahm Stoker style vampires at the very least, but I'd rather more folkloric vampires that were undead monsters to be feared and killed.

YES i want vampires untainted through hundreds of years of storytelling and washing down, vampires are evil and must consume from the living thaat is the way it has always been and it should never change, not to mention if Molag Bal discovered that any of his children were anything like twilight or whatever, he would probably throw them in to a portal of eternal damnation :obliviongate:

I'm hoping that vampires will be more generic, so you can make it what you want to be. I personally like Anne Rice vampires, and I like Cadique's Dracula a lot. I want my vampire to look normal at first glance, but when he needs blood he should turn into a monster. I think that's what they were going for in Oblivion but it failed. They should be monstrous, but becoming a 'zombie' style vampire like people on here want would be game breaking, much like Morrowind's vampirism.

but thats what they are! they are undead with a concience like a lich, but i would rather be a lich, because they do not require sustinance and are far more powerful, vampires are essentially animals in the elder scrolls lore

EDIT: and morrowinds vampire that beth portrayed is much more accurate to ancient lore and it should and likely will be that way, and since cirodiil is the only province that this type of vampire exists, they should NOT be like them in skyrim, that will be LORE and GAME BREAKING

Sorry, but I'll pass the "girl next door" look for an undead creature. It's just plain wrong.

lich freak - I wouldn't say that a leach in TES is necessary more powerful than Aundae vampire elder for example, they are both undead, one retain some shape bit needs to feed, the other can go without anything but is essentially a pile of bones, that the main difference. More powerful is a big question

There have been a lot of vampires throughout the ages. Many have had an air of sixuality about them. Most of these have svcked, and I'm not talking about how they feed. There have rarely been any good vampire movies because of this. But I know of one that completely did away with this and was a damn good movie. 30 Days of Night. The vampires in it were brutal, blood thirsty, killing machines in every sense of the words. I saw that movie and thought to myself "that's how vampires should be".

what question? theres no denying it, lichs are yes essentially a pile of bones but are animated by your soul and are a transcended sorcerer, they are the highest class of undead, vampireism is a disease that anyone can contract, once the virus has taken hold, your body dies but your soul remains and your body undergoes a change, a metamorphosis if you will but does not essentially mean they are powerful, knowledge is power and that is what lichs possess, that is why they are masters of arcane magic and can control the dead, vampires are physically stronger and very fast and sneaky, but anyone can become a vampire as easy as catching a cold, lichdom is a feat that is not easily acheived

EDIT: and to joeyheadwounds, your absolutely right, those vampires are truly what they should be and judging by the scenery in that movie and TES lore that is exactly what they will probably be like in skyrim

Aundae vampire clan is full of Telvani mages if you recall, they are mostly Altmer to begin with and their strain of vampirism improves all magical abilities even more. And unlike Liches they actually have a clan and share the knowledge gathered in a veeeery long existence. Not only that but Telvani don't particularly mind vampires and m guess is a lot of wizards still have a contact with vampiric keen. For now I haven't seen any actually powerful liches in TES... The fact that they did not contract a daedric course but did the transformation themselves means that they are certainly skilled necromancers but that's about it, other things very form lich to lich. And at last I'm fairy sure that while creating vampirism daedric prince did not mess up, can't guarantee the same for a lich :D

hmmmm have limited resources and limited ranks of solders and what not? or immortal immune to pain and suffering with INFINITE minions and dark power wielding from my fingertips? yeah i think i will be a powerful necromancer lich, i would also devote my existance as a lich to not be alone in my cave, but rather create my own order and recruit as many powerful necromancers as i could find (and there are a lot more than mages) and they would all gladly join, since that is what most necromancers aspire to become, shame no lich in the elder scrolls had enough brains to do this, well basically mannimarco, but he was greedy and didnt command his campaign nearly the way he should have and that is why he failed miserably, i mean if i had been him, i would have raised every single graveyard and resurrect countless spirits i would avast the largest army all of tamriel had ever seen and i would do everything in my power to create as many liches as possible, there would be no stopping you, your power would grow by the day and your armies even larger to the point where you would outnumber the people of the world 10 to 1 just thiink everyone who has died for the last thousands of years? mannimarco was powerful enough to do this and yet he didnt, he was a fool, so i think i will take the side of a lich over a undead phony creation by a daedric god, because they are undead but they are not truly undead and are basically animals

EDIT: oh and about the aundae clan telvanii accept vampires because they are not truly part of the government and there curiousities about them leave open a relationship, and also because the aundae are non aggressive they feed off of animals not the living, they do not wish to be vamps and have been able to keep there sanity to a level, now a quarra masters clan im sure would be a very different story

Long gone are the Oblivion days where Vampires are decrepit looking old people. Vampires are hip and beautiful now!

I actually sincerely hope (and would be surprised otherwise) if Skyrim stuck to the previous tradition of freaky looking vamps. There's something so pleasurable in walking around and people being utterly disgusted by your appearance, so much so that they refuse to talk to you. And then you can stalk them and wait till they sleep and svck their blood!
