Better Shopping Menu

I was playing Oblivion last night (I managed 3 whole hours without a crash to desk top!) and a thought occurred to me (as I'm sure it has occurred to many of you at one time or another).

The buying/selling menu system in The Elder Scrolls games (Morrowind, Oblivion) kind of svcks. It takes forever to sell a bunch of different items. Many RPG games have a system where you can select all the items you want to sell/buy, have them listed in a "Buy/Sell" list, and then click "Sell" to sell them all. It's WAY faster and more convenient, I think. Simply have a list on one side of your items or the store's items. Then another list beside it of what you've selected for purchase (or to sell).

Fallout 3 did the quick-sell option I'm sure Skyrim will have a much improved shop menu.

I think Dragon Age: Origins had an excellent method for this

I'd really like the Morrowind-esque style of bartering back, as well.. :foodndrink:

I never played Fallout, but it sounds like Bethesda will be using some of the things they learned from it in Skyrim. I'm excited for Skyrim, but also cautious. I pray it's not as buggy as Oblivion. I know I'll have to get a new computer to play it (sigh), but I'd never gt it on a console. Without mods it would only feel like half the game to me.

I can't imagine they would go back to that bartering system, considering the UI is otherwise completely overhauled.

I'm rather pessimistic here - expecting that hilariously consolized 6-7 item alphabetical list, but with two panels for the vendor and player's respective inventories. :sadvaultboy:

Oblivions barter system was horrible the one from fallout 3 was a huge improvement it allowed you to buy and sell multiple items at the same time, I'm also hoping everybody buys everything I can understand the weapon shop not selling certain items but it svcked to have to walk over to the spell shop to sell my magic scrolls because the weapon shop wouldn't recognize that they had any value.
