1.) Which shotgun does Cass use as default weapon, when she's not given another gun?

3.) Does she switch ammo types, according to the situation, if she has different types of ammo in her inventory?

5.) Can Companions use drugs? What kind of stimpacks/ drugs do they use automatically? Just the regular "Stimpack", not the expired, ultra...?

2) yes. never give a fire weapon to your companion. Soon or later, a hit take the weapon from her hands and they dont pick from the ground. You probably will not even notice when it happened until it's too late.
