I know most people see them as the skyrim Nazis but I feel that that is completely biased and unfair to them. We're only getting one side of the story, I'm sure I'm not the only one who want to know why they are like hat cause lets not forget they are the oldest living race so anything could've happened and we not know it. I want to see the Aldmeri's perspective on all the wars and and why so many laws are against heretics, maybe even at one point be able to join their ranks. Just my own opinion there cause I feel like this we've missed a big chunk of something, Aldmeri have always been a very high and tight people but never this aggressive. I want to know what caused this.

They want to rule the world. There are a lot of aldmeris that hate the thalmor, an example was Ocato, and he was killed by the thalmor. There are books on the matter in game, you should read them.
