What new things should a Town have?

I think it would be cool for there to be libraries, like instead of mages guild halls, you could learn spells from the scholars instead of some random guy who sells 'discount' spells.

I agree with a lot of the option mentioned. Libraries would be cool to raise your skills and get some lore :)

Options are good, as long as they make sense and are done in a way that adds to the Elder Scrolls world :)

All of that stuff (except that I wouldn't call anything a café or nightclub lol) but especially libraries, churches and gardens because I'm slightly worried there will be much less of it compared to Oblivion.

TES nightclubs! Let's see a Nord rave, complete with ecstasy and glow sticks.

Ha, a rave party would be a bit too much... but live music, people dancing, drunks making out and so on would be nice!

Bring back libraries! I'd also love for there to be extensive sewer networks under the cities, good for stealth characters - I believe Daggerfall originally promised these, as some of the dungeon texture sets are internally named as sewers.

Well, it would be nice if towns had all those things. However I only voted for three, given I would value them over other things being included. =)

Sewers, complete with bandits/thieves and potentially even less friendly 'groups' deeper down.
Libraries, not much to say here, just that it would be nice for finding info on lore, maybe a book detailing known weaknesses of various creatures/undead and so on. Make it so its actually useful to go there and research stuff, should one choose.
Bars/clubs, not so much clubs but definately bars of varying sizes. Some should be small and cozy, others should be large and have bards playing music and perhaps a singer. Would make them much more interesting at least.

Market Stalls if they improve PC interactions, aka. A Vendor trying to persuade people into buying from his Market Stall.

They have nightclubs? Why was this never in a Elder Scrolls game? Did I not look hard enough?
Sarcasm aside I'd love to have much more realistic towns, less bundles of houses. By the look of the game so far it seems we may get some of the things on that list, and it will be great. :celebration:

I want to see both exterior and interior vendors, with different inventory. The outdoor market vendors would have less money and more common items and the shop salesmen would have more expensive stuff. I would love to see a library for all kinds of book. Rare and common. Let's say you discovered a ruin "x" and you could them check the library about information about "x". This way you find out about lore and for example the residents of "x". That would be awesome.

I hope that Bethesda (and most other open world game developers) will borrow from Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption, and add to towns both the buildings and NPC's that the particular town would need to operate. I hope to see basic food production, trade buildings both for the town's existence (liveries, stalls), and its economy (blacksmiths, traders, ect ect.) I want, more than anything else, to see culture in each town, like we saw in Morrowind, rather than a typical "medieval fantasy town" design in every location.

I think there needs to be a balance between functionality, "cool to have" factor, and the atmosphere of being in a rugged, wild land. I don't necessarily want a bustling city full of people and structures.

Everything except for restaurants. Those just seem like modern-day conveniences to me, while I imagine most people eat at home in the old days, with families and such. Bars would provide food though, and mead halls.

Anything that makes the towns seem more alive, and active is fine by me.... so really anything on this list. They just need to be implimented in a way as to give purpose to their being there, and add to the atmosphere of the game world.
