As do you. Tiramisu is possibly the greatest dessert ever created, next to cheescake and Cannolis.

I never thought of you as a [censored], but then again, I'm quite cynical myself, and according to most humans that I come to contact with face to face, I tend to be a [censored] myself a lot of the time.
And I like the quotes in your signature

But if you think Skyrim looks the same I shutter to think how samey the Mojave looks. Remember, we're talking aesthetics here.

I find deserts to be rather beautiful to be honest, even if it is just a single type of landscape. Aesthetically, the Mojave Wasteland looks rather similar to the real Mojave Desert -- so kind of like http://mojavedesertecosystem.blogspot.com/ I've only been to the deserts of the Southwestern United States once, but when I did go, I loved the environment there, and so, naturally, I love to run around a post-apocolyptic Fallout-ised version of that environment.

I agree, that's one thing I'm glad Obsidian captured well with FNV. IMO that would have broken FNV if it was done improperly. Environment is half the game when it comes to FO; at least IMO. When I play a Fallout game, I want it to feel like a Fallout game. Sadly though, I think Skyrim missed that mark, I mean yeah, aesthetically it felt like a TES game... but when compared to FNV... it pales in comparison as it feels like an antirely new series; expecially after coming from Arena, MW, and Oblivion.

Would have been more fun if they weren't all just samo-samo with nothing much to do in them.
I liked just walking around them and seeing the sights, the same could be said for Fallout.
I guess it's just down to preferance, mines is with Skyrim, though it isn't my favourite game of the two.

For me, it's the setting. Skyrim is beautiful and I love the different regions. However, when I go exploring in Skyrim, it feels like a walk in the park. If I go walking across the Mojave or even just set foot into a building in New Vegas, my heart starts to beat, my hands get sweaty and I ready my gun in anticipation of looming danger. It's a whole different feeling.

Sure, first time I came face to face with a Draugr, I may have felt some trepidation, but after the first few tombs, I lost the fear and turned into an auto killing machine, knowing what to expect.

Now in Fallout, Feral Ghouls still have me on edge. OMG I hate those things and Deathclaws? They get my heart pumping like nothing else.

The whole atmosphere is different and therefore, I really can't compare the two games. :)

All I got from exploration in Skyrim was eye candy, nothing more. But in NV, there were places that made me curious about their inhabitants(Red Rock and why Khans were there) or their recent events(Searchlight), places that gave me an 'itchy triggerfinger'(Deathclaw cave, which name I can't remember and if I take DLC's into the account whole Dead money) and places that I enjoyed of in a Elder Scrolls fashion, just for their exploration(some caves with just enemies and loot, can't remember any names).

Pretty and bland... with dreadful leveling
or Not really ugly and engaging.. with more RPG like leveling....

Tough choice

How come? Not trying to disagree with you just wondering why. Don't you think the TES levelling is more realistic in the fact that you use a skill and get better at it? I love both levelling systems so I don't mind either way.

Ha, no irony intended, how refreshing to see someone actually ask this question in a normal manner.
Like I explained in another thread. The two games are inherently different. One is more or less a classic RPG gaining experience and using those points to build you character.. (FO), the other is about developing your character (TES), developing your skills as you go.

I simply like, the less realistic, gamy experience gathering a game like FO does.. I don't mind grinding (says someone who loved Japanese RPG's) but .. both in Morrowind and Oblivion leveling felt like a necessity to get to the content.. while leveling in FO like games feels like a reward..
While I like the nerfed system in skyrim, I still dislike it.. it feels as a chore instead of me enjoying my game.. and getting rewarded for it with experience and skill points..

I see. I'm pleased I worded my question in a way so that you didn't take it the wrong way. It is quite an interesting take you have on the levelling systems, a way in which I had not even considered but now you have mentioned it I can totally understand where you are coming from. Like I said though I like both levelling systems so I'm fine with both which is always a bonus.
