Wonderful. Well I don't plan on buying New Vegas anyway until the DLC cycle is complete and a final version with everything is released. That's been the rule I've had for about 2 years now, although a few games were exempt, notably what we now know as Skyrim.

Why is everybody so up-in-arms over VATS? Yes, it wouldn't be right in a TES game, but you all do realize that you don't HAVE to use it, right? Just like you don't have to use it in FO. So, for those who think it's a "cool" feature, and if it would get more people to buy, why wouldn't they put it in? Everybody wins, because it's OPTIONAL. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with adding in things that some people would like, some people would hate, and some people could care less, as long as they are OPTIONAL.

Options make good games great.

I love how this argument makes its way into almost all the threads here. "Why hate it if you don't have to use it?" It's such a lame and generalized argument that it just makes your opinion look weak. Come up with something original, do some research, find out how it could be implemented into the game, and for god's sake, please add something constructive to the conversation.

As for this whole VATS issue, there are some features of it that I would like to see in Skyrim, such as the death scenes and the locational damage. Everything else about it though doesn't really fit into the scheme of TES. VATS was really for ranged attacks, and there's a lot more melee than ranged attacking in TES. Heck, in Fallout, it's pretty easy to go through the entire game without ever touching a melee weapon, while it's almost opposite in TES. Still, the locational damage and death scenes would be nice.
