In between the sheets

Post » Fri Jan 31, 2014 5:11 am

I have an issue keeping my sheets on my bed, they like to wrinkle up and come undone and i have to put them back on every night, or at least i used to. Now I just opt to take another blanket and lay it on top of my sheetless bed and adjust it every so often. I know there are matresses that come with the sheets sown in place or other kinds called pillow tops, but im a cheap bastard and don't feel like i should ever have to use any other bed than the one i've been using all my life. Which so happens to have a very irratating coarse texture to it.

any ways, how does every one else deal with their sheets coming off the bed all the time, or how do you prevent it?

I don't like feeling trapped so I don't tuck my sheets in and often they'll end up a mess in the morning. I just straighten them out

My sheets have elasticated edges, so they hook on the corners of the bed. As for them coming off all the time, I just put them back on again.

The tittle made me think about a song...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvhVnZuioMg

Anyway.

My sheets always come off unless I sleep still which is impossible for me.

Every time they've come off I just tuck them a little further underneath the mattress. I've gotten to the point where the entire right side is tucked into the mattress. Still hasn't quite done the trick, somehow.

I never have problems with my sheets, they always stay exactly how they should be. They must be pretty high-tech.

I think they make clips that you use to make them stick to the mattress.

Same. I had to use the kind that didn't have those edges in basic and I don't see why anyone would put up with that kind of torture. Sheets without the elastic corners get undone at the lightest touch.

Really? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=glhdcJ7K3XM was the first song that came to mind when I read the title.

I just use an elasticated mattress protector and sheet on the bottom, and a duvet and quilt on the top. The duvet often makes escape attempts, but since I have chronic insomnia resulting in frequent nocturnal wanderings, I have plenty of opportunities to recapture it.

Whoops. My bad. I had two youtube tabs opened and it opened a video entirely unrelated in the tab I thought was the one you linked to. Derp on me for not watching where I click. (And having six tabs open doesn't help :P )

Oh, are we talking about the sheet for the mattress? I thought we were talking about a sheet for sleeping under. Yeah, my mattress sheet is elastic too. Nice and tucked under the corners and along the edges. Never comes undone between washes.

When I stopped using Satin Sheets, they stopped coming off my bed.

OK, seriously:

By better sheets as it sounds like you need fitted sheets on the bottom, not flat sheets

Stop rolling around in bed so much (in fact, if you have Sleep Apnea then you can be moving around alot as you try to breath while sleeping, my GF does)

Buy a better mattress that does not fold up at the edges because it is so worn out and the sheets slip off
