BFBC3?

Post » Sun Jan 30, 2011 11:17 pm

Is it just me or does this feel like a patched version of Battlefield Bad Company 2? The weapon unlocks, sounds used when firing some weapons, the downgrade in graphics from Crysis 1... The list goes on and on! Call of Duty Black Ops with completely maxxed out settings runs in lower FPS than this game when also played in DX10! Anyway I vote we change the name of this game to either BFBC3 or Crysis .5! Who's with me?!

I don't really see why people are complaining about this game. I don't know how big an upgrade or downgrade this is compared to the first Crysis, but as far as I know, the first Crysis didn't have multiplayer so that in itself is a huge upgrade. Also, stop comparing with other games.

I play this game with a completely freshed and objective perspective, and you people should try that too, because there is absolutely nothing wrong with the game, and I think it's simply awesome.

If I too were new to playing video games I MIGHT be inclined to agree... Seeing as how you never even played the first Crysis to know that there IS multiplayer and that you more than likely purchase very few games per year makes me not care what you think. Take it from someone who likes video games, we got robbed on this one. I bought BFBC2 last year and didn't know I was simply purchasing another copy.

So you are complainning because this is a well optimized game, very well optimized actually. Wow.

Are you kidding? Multiplayer is nowhere as good as BFBC2. It's not even comparable, as they have different approaches. Crysis 2 MP might be compared to Call of Duty, but for sure not with (any) Battlefield.

So well optimized, in fact, that the same version runs on both consoles and PC!

Stop braindeadly comparing with other FPS games.

To TheGrouch: I played BFBC2 and Crysis 2, and I'm starting to believe that you're a blind, snot-nosed fool.
If you still haven't noticed the huge amounts of possibilities in Crysis 2 that isn't in BFBC2, then you're simply stupid.

Why comment when you don't know what you're on about? You can EASILY find out if Crysis has multiplayer through a simple Google search. Short answer - it does (I own the game).

If you are being sarcastic I honestly don't get your point, I guess it's some PC fanboy silliness. But the fact is the game runs smooth and looks good with an average PC which is good for most people.

Congratulations, but you obviously missed my entire post by far. This single quotation was only a short notice. Fair enough Crysis 1 had MP, I don't give a damn, it doesn't change the fact that Crysis 2 is still an awesome game.

Start looking at the game as an individual game, by not comparing with other games as like.

I didn't miss your post. In fact, you're really only stressing my point more. It's natural that people will compare it to Crysis 1. Why? This is supposed to be the sequel. Personally, I think there are a number of good things about this game, but I can understand people's frustrations about certain aspects of it.

EDIT: Thought I'd add that it's natural people will look at other games and express what similarities there could be. As an example, you could probably compare multiplayer for this game to Call of Duty 4 (for example) whilst Crysis 1 would be more like the Battlefield series.

Some of you can't possibly have played Crysis 1 and BFBC2. Crysis 1 multiplayer you would use points you earned to buy weapon attachments on the fly at specified load outs. I feel the upgrading of weapons is more comparable to BFBC2 in the fact that you unlock weapon attachments per level only. I understand in BFBC2 you would level classes specifically but still, it's not like the original Crysis in a worse way. The format of the page where you upgrade your weapons and attachments even reminds me of BFBC2.

Don't get me wrong, I love BFBC2 and even more than that love the destructible environment... I just feel like Crysis has taken one step forward in some things and two steps back in others. Love the Nano vision, how you don't have to switch to speed or strength modes but where are my destructible environments, the swarm of multiplayer vehicles and most importantly to me, a game with real adjustable sliders?? The original Crysis was programmed poorly or something like that and thus Warhead but it seems like this is an even further watered down version of the Crysis series just aimed at pleasing the masses instead of the high end pc gamers. Min requirements of an 8800gt? Come on, Metro 2033 came out this time last year and required a GTX 260! Anyhow, continue to flame on genuine criticism

Im just really pissed that there is only one graphic setting. I expected to have to go and purchase a second video card to run crossfire for this game. I set my rig up in anticipation for this game, but to my suprise it hardly uses any power. What happened to the uber customizable graphics settings of Crysis 1 and Warhead? Plus I have full DX11 support...is this game even taking advantage of that? I have no way of knowing since there IS ONLY ON SETTING FOR THE GRAPHICS.
Still I think it is an awsome game but I cant help but wondering if I should have just gotten it for my PS3 or 360 instead.

In all honesty I am a huge fan of this game and BFBC2. They both look mighty similar if you ask me.

Crysis 2 did not release with DX11 support. Very very weak. Not sure if this is a console port or not but apparently Crytek and EA could care less about the PC community that made the original the success that it was despite their politician like campaign promises to said users.

You need to learn how to do your research kid. They already said DX11 Support was delayed and coming very soon.

And you need to learn how to read. Releasing with DX11 and it coming very soon are not the same. Pointless posts like this just muddle up the threads so please read twice before posting.

Lol, ultimate100.. Clever trolling. I'll give you that. But no, ordering us around by telling us "Stop looking at the game this way, do it my way! *insert reasons here* " isn't likely to make our community listen to you.

Watch your tone.

People need to stop biching. Crysis 2 > Vanilla Crysis 1 any day. Sure there isn't that much physics but you don't notice it much with all that damn action! Now Crysis 2 vs Real Lifesis Crysis Mod is a different story all togethor, but I bet you that if you did a real life mod on cryengine 3 it would be tons better. I still play black ops but I am dumbfounded, black ops runs on a 10 year old game engine and the performance and graphics are ****. Crysis 2 is a current engine that has very good graphics and very good performance, so well optimized it can run on really old hardware and still look good. I have a 5850 and a 1090T processor and black ops will still sag, Crysis 2 wow just wow. Sometimes I can hardly play because im looking on how realistic it is.

Just wait for BF3. Then we'll finally get a game that was written with the power of a high end PC in mind, THEN dumbed down and ported to the consoles. Not the other way around like every other cross platform travesty.
