This may shock you, but we also get bathroom and food breaks. Sometimes, I take a small moment to scratch my nose when I need to.

I...I am so ashamed...

Pfft, everyone knows that the developers are really robots programmed to update fake twitter accounts to form an illusion of being real people who need time off.

Either that or they just don't like you.

Spoiler
Joking, joking :P

Game companies work in project cycles. The closer to deadline the more they work, I understand it can get pretty rough.

Wow, just . . . wow. How do you even respond to this?

I won't bother reiterating what everyone else has said except to say that time away from that kind of work and returning fresh usually means better ideas, better work, more vigorous work, better quality work. I would never in a million years expect a development team to work seven days a week on a project unless, as it has been stated already, it was crunch time, and even then, best to take time off here and there and come back fresh.

You realize Pete Hines isn't a developer on the actual game.

It's kind of like if you had to work your job on the weekends too.

Designing, writing, making games is a job too.

I'm sure like a lot of other game development companies out there, they have people that work overtime just because of their love for the game.

Why wouldn't they get time off I mean they aren't machines. Now if it's getting close to crunchtime when you have to send the game out, then that's a different story but I don't see that happening with Skyrim.

Im sure during the week when they have something big going on that they dont want to stop part way and want to finish it, i bet theres a few bedrolls in that little great forest they have in their building where they can rest.

Yea I agree. I doubt every single member (all 100 of them) are off weekends. They probably have a skeleton crew that rotates weekends or something.
