BIG BETHESDA TWEES DLC AND SURVIVAL MODE TOTAL REVAMP

Post » Fri Feb 12, 2016 5:00 pm

Who knows anythings possible.

Todd Howard might change his mind and say we want the players to suffer. We had it wrong ever since we released The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for sale and it was a mistake to let the video game do things automatically for the players without having consequences on the actions that they make.

If it's done better than NV hardcoe mode I'll give it try. Hopefully it makes ammo and aid rare as well.

If they can tone down the bullet sponge of survival, I'm in.

I wonder how the diseases are to be contracted. Certain creatures carry them and when attacked there's a chance you'll get one, like in previous games? Or maybe something different this time. In any case I hope your safe when wearing PA.

Isn't anyone who matters already killable? The only ones that aren't are those lazy [censored]ers at sanctuary hills, if memory serves me correctly.

I actually don't mind finding lots of ammo. I'm a terrible shot.

Yeah my current character never uses Stimpaks or Radaways, just cooked food. Made the game a little more interesting at least.

It will probably be out before that, it shouldn't take that long to make. We'll see! Not sure Bethesda Game Studios will do anything at E3 this year, which is fine.

Fallout 4 or any video games in this day and age should not be content deprived for that many months without having DLC's and expansion packs released for sale.

I'm thinking Fallout 4's DLC with this new updated Survival Mode either will get released for sale in March or maybe by May.

If it released for sale after thier E3 2016 conference it would be what 6 and a half months Fallout 4 went with out any DLC's and expansion packs released for sale? That's bad business and actually makes some customers not come back at all for a while until a sale happens with all of the patches, DLC's, and expansion packs included.

Wouldn't this make more sense to add a brand new difficulty mode rather than redesign survival mode? For example just name this hardcoe mode like in new vegas and leave survival as is with the legendary enemies being more frequent with us doing less damage while hardcoe Mode is more akin to Normal mode with all the stuff from NV had(eating, sleeping...etc).

What i'm not happy about is the disease thing. There has never been diseases present in fallout games EVER. This isn't skyrim, don't add this stuff in now -_-

So this means our character is going to get cancer in the game, dies from this disease and game over and you cannot continue with that save file anymore? That's how I'm envisioning this and it's nonsense.

Make Stimpaks rare! Make crippled limbs indefinite until healed! Tie sleep to AP!

Ammo scarcity is actually pretty good for me on Survival Mode since everything takes so many bullets to kill. And I don't have a huge problem with the bullet sponginess.

How do you think they'll do diseases?

What does the 'danger' part mean though?

Molerat disease already exists in a SPOILER quest, only way to cure it is to make an 'immoral' decision. Likewise abusing drugs and booze causes permanent addiction stat drain unless you take the cure or stay addicted, addiction is implemented as a disease.

So we already have a template on how they would do the mechanic, the same system that buffs/nerfs stats with chems and food is used for disease.

I don't stampacks and radaway should be removed just rare to find or you have to make them yourself.

I remember a certain bunch of people pre-release being rock solid certain with their claims that the sort of HC mode is "too expensive, and pointless to make because of claimed low usage % in New Vegas". Well here we are now, witnessing the too expensive pointlessness being made - ain't that a bummer. :P

That said, I don't believe there's going to be any drastic differences in how things play out overall.

Not sure. I hope the diseases will have stages, something like vampiris sanguinare from Skyrim. Weaker and weaker by the stage, different diseases to challenge the multiple build setups for the game, and i would like death to be the outcome if don't get cured by the last stage. I think that will be hard to implement though, because of saves etc. You quicksave and then die, quickload and repeat.

To me it says that the game probably wasn't ready for release, and should have been pushed back to June 2016, and it could launch around E3, taking huge advantage of the new press event. Well done is done, i am glad that they are actually adding things in the patches though.

Well Mole Rats, dogs, Bloodbugs and Yao Guai I'm sure will have diseases. I can see Stingwings(or whatever they're called) and Radscorpions being poisonous.

My guess will be they'll work like they did in Skyrim. You'll probably need a doctor to cure it. Or maybe you have to craft a cure( or have some like Curie do it)
