Big Huge Arm

Post » Sun Jan 16, 2011 10:44 pm

I am sure there will be limitations to each playable race that keeps you within a certain set of parameters. That way you don't get Bosmer taller then Altmer, etc. There are some great character creation tools out there but many of them don't have quite as many types of characters to customize (various human races, elvish races, orcs, khajiit, argonian). I expect it to fall somewhere between Oblivion and APB. From the screenshots I have seen the human races all look great.

Not exactly good logic, there. A less bulky Dunmer doesn't automatically rule out body sliders. I also don't get why everyone is of the opinion that TES elves have to be all slender or can't get bulky.

I know Symmachus, Helseth's dad and Barenziah's first husband, was described as being pretty bulky for a dunmer, which gave the rumor who may have been part nord. He was also a miner, so he most likely used heavy equipment and carried some big rocks.

I'd love to see huge Nord women. This being written by one, that is.
I would guess that there would be preset body types as opposed to a slider.

If there were height and weight sliders, the clothing and armor would have to fit over thousands of potential body types without clipping.

I hope they’ve got past that but I wouldn’t bet on it just yet.

Best selling computer game series ever, 'The', four letters? ;)

Just gotta say, I love the title of this thread: "Big Huge Arm" :lmao:

I think there will be preset bodies as well, which is fine... as long as they have curves without being fat!!! :gun:

I hope we don't see old men with six packs again. I hope the body types between races are more distinct then Oblivion.

while i agree with this .... it was extremely hilarious to see an old priest all ripped off laying in the ground....

Due to this thread I will name a bulky argonian Big-Huge-Arm.

I hope body builds are not restricted to races.

Theres always exceptions. And you are one of the few dragonborn, thats an exception.

Sliders could work if done correctly. Soul Calibur IV actually has a nice body editor with a slider grid for muscle mass and definition, and all the clothing still fits naturally.

Sounds like the devs don't want us to be limited to the racial stereotypes, meaning you can be whatever you want to be. A SUPER BUFF BOSMER WARRIOR! ROAR! Or a skinny nord mage without the race restrictions.

So if this whole "body morph" option is true Im guessing

Nord Orcs and Redguards- Average to Hyper Muscular build

Imperial Bretons and Argonians- Average to Muscular build.

Elven races- Light to Average build?

What about the Khajiit hmmmmmmmmm :touched:

Didn’t see the Dunmer arm.

Selectable/racial body types would be cool so long as its not a Fable-ish, strong characters look like pro wrestlers thing. Thats not cool.

the dunmer is on page 50 (hes being stabbed by a dagger)

imo we shouldent have charecter gen sliders- bodies should change depending on stats

agility-removes fat, makes some some muscles bigger
strength- increases mucle tone
endurance- makes body larger

or something like that

I did forget about the beast races lol. Im guessing by the lore that Khajiit can range from very light to very heavy in build, im not sure about the Argonians though. That is if the builds are lore specific in the first place. Oblivion didn't limit you from playing a breton with the skin tone and facial structure of a Redguard so I guess there isn't a precedent for lore specific race limits in Skyrim.

That’s basically what they did in Fable…and no offence but I hated it.

Strength is beneficial to almost any character so they all end up looking like the same beef-cake meathead, know what I mean.

I might add a touch of realism, but I just want to be able to decide what my character looks like.

Anyway, there deferent kinds of muscle tone and stronger doesn’t always mean bigger.
