"Thinking about staging a big Let's Play-style series of all the Elder Scrolls games on Bethblog. ES fans -- interested?"

Lets show some love, I really would like to see it, especially being from one of Bethesda's crew.

Please consider doing this, it would be one hell of a commitment over the next 11 months but it would get everyone up to snuff on all things Elder Scrolls before the big release.

All the excitement got to their head. Hahaha, but seriously, I think this idea is really cool.

EDIT: Typo

What is this kind of game? I have never heard of a Lets Play game. Only: South Park Lets Play Balloon tower Defense.

Would it be a main quest only sort of thing, a 100% completion thing, or something in between? Either way, I'd watch every second. :D

Skyrim, I can't comment on the game, the engine, or anything else right now. Except to say that you will not be disappointed.

Nice! I am sure they are switching to a new engine!

I just started playing Oblivion, heavily modded again. Really getting in to it now that I know TESV is merely months away.

Gonna play Morrowind too, just gotta buy it again.

Heavily modded you say, can you provide me a list of the big overhauls you are using. I used to play with FCOM, but I cant be bothered to install it all over again, so if you have a good load order and if it isn't FCOM please tell me.

A Let's Play is a series of, usually, videos, in which someone plays through an entire game, all the while commenting on what's happening. Kind of a Mystery Science Theatre for video games. They can be very entertaining, I'd recommend watching a few.

That'd be amazing to watch - would it just be the main quest, or also dabble with factions? An improvised "do anything that comes your way" (like with optional quests) fare?

Either way, I'm all for it. Redguard!

Glad you guys dig the idea!

I was originally thinking more text + pictures, but maybe supplementary video would be fun.

I've actually never played Arena, and I'm not sure I completed Daggerfall. Getting pretty excited at the idea of going back and digging through the whole series with you guys in a book club-like format. Not sure when to kick it off, but in the meantime, all suggestions welcome.

I'd definitely like this, I'm going to try to beat Daggerfall soon anyways so if a dev played through it while I did it would be pretty cool lol

Retweeting myself: I'd like to see the more obscure ones, like Battlespire and the Travels series. There are a ton of MW and OB ones, and Arena and DF are free, so the games that are not readily available are more interesting to me.

If you're doing Daggerfall and Arena, make sure to record yourself live trying to get out of the starting dungeons :chaos:

http://www.youtube.com/user/gixG17

GixG17 does a really good LP of Oblivion and Morrowind. Although He likes to Play-through games really slowly and he role-plays a bit, and since he started with Oblivion he Decided to do a Morrowind LP as a noob, so you get to see him struggle/ experience things as a newbie in Morrowind (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vt5YKmP7ecY) his First episode of Morrowind.

Btw, I'm supportive of your idea of doing LP's

I'd complete the main story via video footage and settle on text and pictures for important side quests and lore. Just a suggestion.
