Big MT location

But the I-15 is the NCRs major route into Vegas.
Your map has the Big MT placed near it.
Spoiler
Ulysess wanted to nuke the I-15 to cut off the NCR in Vegas.
"Bleeding the bear."

The divide cut off the NCRs northern route, Highway 95.
It would not affect the I-15.

Yeah.... Did you not read what he said....? He said that Ulysses wanted to nuke the I-15 to cut off the NCR in New Vegas. The Divide cut off Highway 95, like you said, leaving the Long 15 as the only route into New Vegas, which is why: a) the Mojave Outpost is so backed up in the game b) Ulysses wants to nuke the Long 15 to cut off the NCR (like he said) and c) why you can nuke the Long 15 at the end of Lonesome Road.

But anyway, back on topic. Yeah, Big MT is definitely in the general vicinity of New Vegas. I always assumed in the Sierra Nevadas.

And House is the only one willing to admit it. Everyone else is 'YEAH! WE DID IT!....Oh.....and that Courier guy.....I guess.'
That's not true at all. The NCR and Legion in http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Fallout:_New_Vegas_endings#Slide_3:_The_Courier both quite clearly honour the Courier and his role in securing the Mojave. Luxury is not the only reward of heroes.

But technically neither NCR nor the US are truly democratic, they're representitive republics.
Not all democracies are representative republics, but all representative republics are by definition democracies. It's like saying that a gorilla isn't technically a mammal because it's an ape.

I liked the NCR in Fallout 1 and haven't been very fond of them since Fallout 2.

They were better as a smaller military power, but now they are too overstretched for their own good.

Post-loss at Hoover Dam to Yes Man or Mr. House, if the story took a twist and they kept Kimball, he would've drawn the NCR to its doom.

With that being said, bombing them doesn't help anyone except the Legion.
It helps you if you want Vegas to be completely safe from outside threats, but not bombing them is probably for the best.

Even though they would have to take the bulk of their military to the Mojave (which is not going to happen, because they are occupied in Baja with their Rangers) to stand a chance, and if you do the Wild Card quest chain right, you are putting the NCR in a position where they will not blame Vegas for their downfall in the Mojave?

The NCR isn't an outside threat. The Legion definitely is, but without Caesar, their days are numbered, and not to mention they're being contained by NCR just like the Long 15 NCR military is being contained by them.

But if u nuke the Legion camp and Long 15 then you are making heavy losses to them. I would never gun after someone that just nuked two heavy importance buildings, cause what if they had more nukes?
And i really dont care if they will blame Vegas, why the [censored] should they keep trying to take Vegas after all those losses? Legion would be the only problem and they would die out if you give them enough time to.
