:P Have you played the game?

I spose it all comes down to what you call "big", but YES, i would say there are some pretty huge monsters, especially when it comes down to radscorpions and deathclaws.

There are legendary and named monsters, that are elite forms of other monsters, if that makes sense?

So Deathclaws have higher equivalents, and sometimes there will be a single named monster.

I don't think there are behemoths in game. It wouldn't really make sense for them to be in this game, unless they enjoyed ridiculously long strolls across the wasteland....

I guess you people are happy with a few upgrades to existing enemies which don't really have a huge difference about them :) shame.

Bigger doesn't really mean better.
Besides, why would something mutate into a colossus size?
East Coast Behemoths was something unique.
But it wouldn't make sense for a Night Stalker to be as tall as a building.

How about an experiment that went wrong and mutated a Death Claw to enormous size? Or the BoS where experimenting with something and new tech was fused with a super mutant or something lol? ya'know.

How about an experiment that went wrong and mutated a Death Claw to enormous size? Or the BoS where experimenting with something and new tech was fused with a super mutant or something lol? ya'know.

But who conducted the experiment?
Why did he do it?
For what reason?
Where did he get the funding, equipment and manpower?
What did he use on it?
Where did he operate?
What went wrong?
How did the Deathclaw mutate?
Was it over time?
Was it instant?
What chemical components did the doctor use?

I don't see how a Deathclaw could mutate into that size.
They are already products of the FEV, splashing some more on them wouldn't do too much.
So what other virus or mutagenic material could he use to increase their size?
Why would he try to make them bigger?
They are dangerous enough as they are.
Saying "oh well he's crazy" would be awful storytelling just to avoid a proper explanation.
How did he get it?
one man can't capture a deathclaw.
He needed mercenaries, at least a dozen of them, and he needed money to pay them for this suicide mission which has had to be pretty expensive seeing as how the mercs risk theirs lives trying to catch the most dangerous creature in the wastes.
Where did he operate and what kind of equipment did he have, how did he get this equipment?
I don't buy the "oh well he found an untouched bunker".
So he had to have been with a faction, why would this faction support his cause to make Deathclaws into Instakillclaws?

I see no way for this to happen.

What for? put very hard on, hardcoe mode and go kill alpha deathclaw and egendary deathclaw - you can try also mother deathclaw [shes almost as big as behemoth and would tear him in 3 seconds tbh]

And they are freaking fast - nightkins [super mutant camouflaged commandos] would smack the crap out of behemoth of f3 in melee too :)

well i met a legendary cazador once. i don't like to talk about that.

I met a giant ant as well but that was easy to take down.

I suppose i do miss the behemoths, but they always got stuck on terrain and an easy exploit was used to dispatch them. It's the smaller enemies that are irritating.

That is for Bethesda to decide dude, I'm sure they could think of something and make it canon.

I edited my above post.
And it's Obsidian who pulls the strings this time around.
Bethesda just pokes her head in to ask if they need their glass pitcher refilled with soda and if they need more cookies.

You can;t see it happening because you aren't thinking outside of the box.

How about some sort of problem with the Nightkin who find a large quantity of Stealth boy MKII's? they basically overdose on them and become absolutely crazy, start experimenting on foreign animals and ghouls, humans ect and eventually come up with a scary incarnation that eventually killed them all and wanders around the wastes invisible until it detects you?

^^That could easily be likely.

Nope.
If they become more crazy than they already are then they're more likely to either kill each other off due to paranoia or just sit around with their thumbs up their ass or smash their heads against the walls to stop a weird ringing noise.

If there is a really really really good explanation for it then I can understand it and accept it but still don't like it.

Oh stop being so [censored] negative, anything could happen as this game isn;t real and has super mutants, monsters that are hybrids of each other ect ect ect.

eh the stereotype of schizophrenics killing everything that moves is lame.
in fact there's a far higher risk of them killing themselves than other people. but i wouldn't expect even a game as well made as fallout to even attempt to understand this.

No, anything can't happen.
It isn't just a game, it's a game franchise with a lore.
(Meaning, Borderland could whatever they want because that game was created as a giant lol-fest. Fallout on the other hand has a deep lore which is not to be messed with just so something that isn't needed can be added into the game.)

As I said, I could accept it if it was put in and had a real good explanation for it.
But since there is no need for something like that and Behemoths in FO3 was a unique kind of mutation it doesn't make much sense to me why there would be another mutation of that kind.
I mean we do have bugs.
All of them suffer from gigantism.
So in fact, you already have your giant enemies in the game.

So the 'lore' says Nightkin can't get crazy ideas of creating creatures? they are already pretty [censored] up considering he was talking to a skull in the rocket place :whistling: I could imagine them trying to re create one of the monsters by experimenting poorly with radiation on humans, ghouls ect.

I don't see the big deal..
