I don't really understand what you mean with Epic main quest... Like the PC alone killing a deadric prince epic? Or surviving an epic something to make an epic return?

1. Do not want.
2. Do not want. (Admit it Morrowind wasn't perfect and seeing your sword fly right through people without hitting was [censored] annoying)
3. Do not want.
4. Oblivion was fine as far as mature themes go, it wasn't overtly sixual, it didn't cuss just to cuss, I maybe wouldn't have minded some lasting cuts when I slashed people, a bit more blood, but it was fine.
5. Mysterious, I'd like to be guessing through out the entire game, and I want an awesome revelation moment 3 quarters of the way through. Remember when you found out you were revan in Kotor? Like that, something that makes you go :ahhh: with excite.

Half of those questions of too vague for me to answer... I would like dice rolls in some capacity but I also want there to be some character skill involved and even a bit of player skill at times. Dice rolls should affect damage done on contact, but not whether contact occurs. If there is random loot then obviously there will be dice rolls there. But the dice rolls throughout the game should be based strongly off of character stats when applicable, so the ultimate effect is that there is a small amount of variation throughout the game complemented by a marked increase in efficiency as you grow stronger. This should apply wherever dice rolls are deemed necessary.

I don't care about mature themes. I care more for a believable culture, so if that includes some mature themes then I want them. I don't want mature themes for the sake of mature themes though...

Don't know how an epic quest is at odds with a mysterious quest. Why can't there be some of both?

The two that I can answer fairly conclusively:
? Do not want multiplayer
? Do not want V.A.T.S

I've explained my thoughts on those in other threads so I'm not going to elaborate on them here.

No way in hell should VATS be in the Elder Scrolls.
Dice Rolls, it adds to the Role play element of the game.
Do not want Multiplayer.
Same as Oblivion.
Mysteriously Epic Quest, with plot twists and such.

By Mature themes I hope you don't mean fable like, god that was bad(in my opinion), if you mean like more realistic gore and such then yes,
Multiplayer, no thanks, TES is about you controlling your world,
VATS, no thanks seems a bit odd to me, takes away from you actually fighting,
Main Quest- Doesn't matter as long as it as good as morrowinds or oblivions.

VATS would completely ruin TheElderScrolls Series. I guess I do not totally understand the Dice roll system. Bring on the Maturity, I want a rated X for OMG. Main Quest I want a mix mainly an Epic one.

Do not want a V.A.T.S. like system. Fallout had an excuse - the Pip-Boy - but Elder Scrolls doesn't. Unless it's a random new application of Thu'um or something.

Dice Roll.... Meh. I think things should be skill-based, but I also didn't like the "999/1000 shots miss" approach in Morrowind. I'd rather have really low damage or attack speed for absurdly low skills or something.

No. No multiplayer. No co-op, no multiplayer Arena, nothing. If people want an on-line TES so badly, make it a separate game. Not in a main TES installment.

If by "mature themes" you mean "[censored] [censored] [censored] [censored]s boobs [censored] [censored] nudity", no. If you mean things such as politics, racial conflicts, religious conflicts, etc, HELL YEAH.

The main quest should start off slowly and mysteriously, Morrowind-style. However, it should speed up bit by bit, turning into a quest of epic proportions at the end.

Still not understanding...Morrowind was an epic quest GO AND SHUT DOWN SECRET SPY DENS FULL OF NUTJOBS FROM HELL!!1!!one!!

Anyway...

VATS:

Dice Roll: Helloooooo, RPG here...not FPS

Multiplayer: :yuck:

"Mature" themes: Went with "same as Oblivion," mainly because just like the whole "epic quest" thing it's so vague as to be utterly meaningless.

Epic/Mysterious main quest: Both...

I voted to keep mature themes at the same level purely for selfish reasons - I want to get my little sister into it and she's not allowed to play 18 rated games :) But if it did happen, I'm sure it would be handled well.

I'm not even sure why you're even asking about VATS. This is TES.

I dont like fallout at all and anything that has to do with it, so vats is out of the question, as far as the quest i really believe that a mass effect aproach on the game would be wonderfull, multiplayer is not a bad idea, i mean like when you develope your character or whenever you want to log in and play multiplayer with the other character but for this be good, the world must be larger even the one that will be in skyrim

1. V.A.T.S. would definitely not work for TES

2.Don't think a dice roll would help out TES

3.I really couldn't see an effective multiplayer system put into place without effecting the game quality

4.I would like to see more gore as far as maturity goes, the games have always maintained a good level maturity but watching more realistic combat would be cool.

5.As far as the main quest goes I think the quests in Morrowind and Oblivion had a decent mix of both epic-ness and mysteriousness. But maybe I'd like a bit more of the mystery then there's the moment positioned just right in the quest that shouts epic.

I would like to see it be more mature than oblivion but definitely not as mature as Fallout 3.

The dice roll for what? Combat? I did not like it very much in Morrowind. it was okay but at a low level I felt like a total piece of crap. I like hitting things, adds to the realism. If the enemy is better than me he should be able to block all of my attacks or dodge them. I shouldn't just miss.

I could see them putting in a high-skill archery ability to pause the game to queue up a location specific shot, but make it so there is no slow-motion video capture... just revert back to normal game speed as soon as you unpause. It would help the less hand-eye coordinated people use marksmanship and would add a bit of dpeth to the skill.

I repeat NO queuing up multiple shots and playign them in slow-motion. Just pause the game, queue up a shot, then revert to normal speed to fire when you unpause. Is that too much to ask? (I do not need it, but a lot of people are worried that TES is becoming too action oriented and I think it would help them.)

What's to say epic main quests can't be mysterious, and mysterious main quests can't be epic? I want an epic main quest, that is laden with mystery and which is utterly mind boggling.
