Big Wrye Bash problem

Post » Mon May 30, 2011 10:55 am

I'm installing FCOM using the TES4:POSItive guide. I've put all the necessairy archives in the bash installers folder, but they won't appear in the Wrye Bash Installers tab. I think it has something to do with the fact that my bain converters folder is empty. Is there supposed to be stuff there? And how do I get it there?

Thank you

Welcome to the forum picoenen. :icecream:

Let me guess you're on Vista/Windows7 with the UAC active. Correct?
If so you must deactive the UAC in Windows control panel or if you have not start a new game yet just uninstall it and reboot your PC.

Install it again but this time somewhere else outside the folder "C:\Program Files" or "C:\Program Files (x86)".
Remember don't install anything related to games in those folders again ever unless you have deactive the UAC in Windows7.
In Vista is probably best to install everything outside these folders.

Just let us now if you need more help and anyone else can help with your problem. :)

I'm on Windows 7. what's UAC? I didn't install oblivion in program files, but in a separate folder.

As for the second post, I've read alot into it already, otherwise I wouldn't bother the forum with it. But everywhere it just says the archives should appear in the wrye bash installers tab, which in my case doesn't happen.

Thx in advance.

It stands for User Account Control in both Vista and Windows7. Have check the folders in the Moby directory?
