My Biggest Fear for Skyrim

Post » Sun May 01, 2011 5:14 am

My biggest issue with Oblivion was the fact that i could stealth kill an imperial guard in the middle of a forest completely alone only to be assaulted by guards as soon as i entered a city. This game is apparently going to have consequences for assassinations of characters. My worry is the "clairvoyance effect" of the characters that may want revenge. The whole point of stealth is getting away with it. If I murder a man alone in his house and nobody is there to see it, I find it ridiculous to be attacked out of revenge. It completely destroys the believability. Please for the love of god don't allow this in Skyrim.

Has anyone heard mention of this issue being resolved?

will you still get stopped and called criminal scum?

I agree. It is one of the great riddles.

Maybe the AI can allow for investigations or for people to at least be more wary, not just continue on with their lives as half their townsfolk are being slain.

I agree with you there, but it is till unreasonable that i become suspect number one; Especially if no motivation is present and i randomly kill a man.

Good point. I just had a feeling based of some of the reading that it may be an issue because of the "revenge" influence of the game.

I kind of agree with this but the thing is that in Fallout it was a game of not get caught or be shot at by everyone in town.

Telepathic guards are annoying.

I'm also worried about it altering the new "karma" system in the game.
