Biggest Fears

Post » Thu Apr 22, 2010 6:06 pm

So what are your biggest fears about this game that most likely are in no way going to happen but that still worry you? for example mine is that the nords will all look and sound exactly the same as in oblivion while everything else is completely fresh because they (the nords) were the number one thing that bugged me about that game. They all seemed super stereotyped as drunken uncivilized barbarians and as the next game will be set in there homeland this is causing me some worry. but enough about my fears, what are yours?

Bethesda "streamlines" the game, bad PC port (UI,performance, etc.) , multiplayer, level scaling ,guns, etc. *

*These are all possibilities.

Level Scaling for sure, with a side order of everybody arguing on what the game after this one should be like, and start comparing Skyrim, Oblivion, and Morrowind.

Biggest fear is that the cities and dungeons are even smaller than Oblivion's. I can understand Cyrodiil being relatively sparse outside of the capitol, but Skyrim's basically the "old world" of Tamriel and should be very populous.

Excessive Level scaling, no incentive for exploration (Fallout 3 made me optimistic), NPCs that still have crappy heads and animations...

And dragons as an overused mindless enemy. With optional mount.

I have many fears but my biggest fear is that it will have less skills then oblivion.
Or that there will be even less choices of armour.
Or that fast travel will be like oblivions.
Or level scaling.
Or the quest compass.
I could keep going but meh, like i said i have many fears.

What Bioware did to Mass Effect 2. A completely "streamlined" version of the game -- something that caters to FPS gamers and mainstream gamers alike.

That the faces will look similar to the face models of Fallout 3. *cringe* Those eyes...such lifeless eyes...the hair...what awful hair...

I'm terrified it'll be even less complex than Oblivion.

I mean, I loved Oblivion, but there's no denying it was the Tracey Jordan to Morrowind's Liz Lemon.

I thought they were a decent size in Oblivion. I hope their around that size. Maybe 2 or 4 huge massive (I'm completely lost :o) dungeons.

the goggled helmets are back, and they're angry! :ahhh:

The progression of armor ugliness continues (daedric, glass, ebony).

Half of the map is empty, to be later filled in by dlc

Bethesda spends all of their efforts making realistic water, weapons that age and rust over time, and throwing weapons while only spending about an hour and a half on the main story.
