The civil war being tied to the main quest is still the thing that bugs me most about Skyrim.

The droppage of Attributes and slimming down of Magic Schools.

The most disappointing fact? Well, I suppose it would be content, specifically, content that didn't appear in - game.

I think for me, the Arena getting scrapped from Windhelm, when it was clearly in the works, was disappointing. A lot of roleplay opportunities lost.

For me, the most disappointing thing is that they didn't expand enough on the Nords and made them largely stereotypical "human barbarians who don't like magic".

Clothing options stopped being a disappointment for me since Oblivion. The downgrade from Morrowind to Oblivion was striking. I could come up with really crazy outfits in Morrowind.

The biggest disappointment for me is tht I must "become" Dragonborn to do the Civil War.

In other words, no way to avoid Season Unending.

I mean the "I'm Jarl Balgruuf, I am not on your side but you are going to help me and my city. Do this and I will fight Ulfric and his Stormcloaks."

For me it was pulling the plug on the game somewhat prematurely and no more DLC.

Oh.. Defend Whiterun. Well the game in general doesn't give you much in the way of choices :/.

They supported Skyrim LONGER than any of the previous TES games. Especially Oblivion. The only notable thing they did for Oblivion was fixing the FormID bug.

Besides the longer they stuck with Skyrim, the LONGER we'd have to wait for TES6. I'm probably gonna be 35 when that game hits -.-

I play as a Stormcloak so when I take Ulfric's axe to Balgruuf he tells me to get the dragon stone and then tells me to kill a dragon. I do that then 1 hour later the Stormcloaks take the city. :(

OH I get it now. It's been so long since I did the MQ, so no finishing Civil War unless you complete Dragon Rising. . .

There goes my no DB playthrough lol

This conversation gets creepier when you think the OP's wearing a dress while discussing it.

I should be able to marry whoever the xxxx I want (namely Lydia or Serana or both). And everyone should want to be my steward, I am the Dragonborn after all

There might be a mod that allows you to avoid helping Balgruuf.

Nothing creepy about cross-dressing, that's just a stigma our society breeds due to ignorance.

Honestly the game is full of disappointment, ranging from all of the factions civil war included to some game or quest breaking bugs never being fixed.

Disappointment only exists to those who have an expectancy to which they have no knowledge of.

My biggest disappointment is the lack of Nord references to the old pantheon, or at the very least Kyne. No cults or anything like that. Bull [censored]. And no real sea culture to speak of for the sea fairing Nords....just a handful of ships and a bunch of wrecked ones.

edit: I should say barely any, not lack of, as in none, since there are a few. A very scant amount.

The fact that the VL or Beast Form arent in 1st person, and that you cant pick/activate stuff. and sometimes you can get stuck in corners inside interiors, Also no 1st person horse riding.

My biggest disappointment was that the game was another so casual console game that I couldn't play it unmodded. The unmodded game just bored me with easyness and lack of required brain use. I knew to expect it thought, I wouldn't have bought the game if it didn't have mod support.

I completely disagree with the OP, I like the fact that genders now get their separate meshes for armors, I just wish that Beth did a better job with that in Dragonborn.

My biggest disappointment is a lack of attributes and the fact that all the classes start out the same thus eliminating choice at the beginning of the game. That and Sapphire, Beth really dropped the ball with Sapphire. Her backstory could have been a really cool quest where you explore what happened with her, help her out and highlighting how bad ra*pe is but no they just made it a weird shoo in. I mean why would you tell that to a complete stranger.
