Biggest Turn-off: Late Textures

Post » Mon Jan 03, 2011 6:30 am

Liking the game so far but the one thing I'm hating about it is all the late textures. Really distracting. To me at least.

I wonder if this is a big problem on the PS3 version? If it isn't and there's no way to fix the problem on 360 (Which I doubt there is) I may have to make the switch.

Is BRINK really running of Unreal Engine?

And yeah.. I've both heard and seen this late texture-issue, and I must say it looks bad, it affects cutscenes even! I hope this patch fixes/fixed this.. Has it been released yet?

I also like the game a great amount but the late texture rendering is putting a huge downfall on the Brink experience that I had expected. I hope that Bethesda is working on a patch to fix the visual issues so that we can actually focus more on gameplay and any tweaks that need to be made to the game to make it better. As of now, Brink needs a Graphical change for its textures on the Xbox 360, not sure if PS3 is experiencing the problems as much though.

I think it's even effecting the sound. In the cutscenes, the voices come a few seconds after the characters mouth moves.
