i don't know how wide spread this phenomenon is, but where i live there are barista stands that are primarily worked by scantily clad young women where some guys will go to get their coffee every day to oggle and flirt with the barista girls. I don't really drink coffee and I'll take a dude any day before a prissy upstuck valley girl any day, so i almost never go to those stands. There is one just outside where i work and i used to go get an egg sandwhich from it, which is premade they just microwave it.

Any ways, these baristas apparently make a lot of money from tips (some guys think that if they go there every day and flirt and leave big tips that they might get their number or something IDRK). I just went occasionally to get a microwaved egg sandwhich. I don't any more though because they started getting really rude to me and diliberatly taking a long time to go back and grab my sand which and then pop it in the microwave. I realized eventually they were pissed because i never tip, which regardless of the situation i don't ever have cash so i can't tip any ways. Not that i would ever give a tip to some smuck who did nothing but microwave a sandwhich.

OK. the point.

Do you go to coffee stands to see scantily clad women, or would you? or alternatively am I a jerk for not leaving a tip?

I just want a service with a smile. I prefer seeing the lips on a persons mouth instead when I get my coffee.

This is no different than bikini car washes or even Hooters. Of course a bunch of horn-dogs are going to oggle over the scantly dressed ladies even if the ladies have zero intention of pursuing a relationship with them. Bikini hot dog stands used to be all over Orlando in the 90's. I don't know if it's a law or just themselves that prevent that from happening anymore.

Much like the hotdog girls in Florida.

There aren't any of those places by me. But if there were I'd definitely go. I like scantily clad women.

Not even scantily women can make me pay for overpriced coffee. I'll just window shop the eye candy and be on my way.

There are plenty of scantily clad women on my college campus. None of them sell coffee though, big surprise.

Can't say I've ever had a 'Bikini Barista', Coffee places in Australia wouldn't be allowed to have their staff dressed like that for health and safety. The coffee places I go to are run by 50 year old women who I honestly would rather have full clothed.
