One of the entries voices Moriarty's suspicions that Billy Creel may have killed Maggie's parents himself and "taken that little girl home as a trophy", instead of saving her from Raiders who killed her parents, as Billy claimed.

So, who do you believe? Billy or Colin? I'd like to believe Billy, but I'm undecided. :goodjob:

Well, the note suggesting that Billy might not be exactly what he seems, is not meant for other people's eyes. It's just a note for himself and as such, I sincerely doubt he's trying to lie to, himself.

If Moriarty's terminal and the data on it outlives Moriarty and exists long after Billy and Colin are gone... Billy Creel may be remembered as a... dodgy character. Heh. There's another thread like this floating around in the murky depths of Forum Necropolis. Can't remember what I put in it. Ha.

IMO: Don't believe anything anyone tells you in the Wasteland. If Billy says he found the girl and took her in, and Moriarty suspects Billy probably killed the girl's parents himself... the truth is probably somewhere in between. Not sure what that truth is... but Billy Creel strikes me as a dodgy character who talks too much. Sounds like he's said what he's said enough times he's got the details of the story down cold. Makes me spishus. It does. :mellow:

Yeah, but a little girl, who needs a lot of looking after, isn't much of a trophy, is it? Besides, he seems to take good care of her, which you wouldn't expect from a sociopathic killer (usually). No, Moriarty probably thinks that, but Moriarty is a naturally suspicious guy, and assumes the worst because it's closer to his own mindset.

i agree. seems to be a nice guy, but he's messed up underneath.

Talk to Billy and Maggie. Listen to them talking to one another. If there's anything going on there, they are both very good at hiding it.

Aside from the info on Dad, everything in Colin's Terminal is useless information anyway. Too bad it didn't lead to some interesting dialogue, at least. I would have loved to ask Jenny about her "encounter" with jericho, or ratted out the good old docter to the raiders.

'zactly.. she may be too young to remeber her parents' death... but if billy were as the OP's question implies, youd think there would be some kind of behavioural manifestation.

Based on absolutely no evidence other than a single diary entry by a man who believes everyone is as dark and flawed as he is.


Whereas the other side of opinion is based on the obvious caring relationship between Billy and Maggie. It's more likely he took her in out of remorse and guilt for his actions.

Back on topic, however, I agree with the opinion that 'Billy Creel is not a pedo'.
I also agree that their relationship likely falls somewhere in between 'father-daughter' and 'killed/helped kill her family, then found a line he would not cross'.

I said it before and I'll say it again:

Maggie and Billy appear to interact with each other in a very friendly way. If there was anything admist, then it would have shown in their dialougs, especially with Maggie.

Billy is looking after an orphaned girl who can't fend for herself. If anything, he's an example to the people in the Wastes.

And even if he were part of the raider bunch that killed her parents, I think him raising her is his way of atoning for what he's done.

In character answer: Not enough information to kill him.

Real life answer: I doubt it, as he hasn't shown a propensity towards other kids, and certainly doesn't show trigger behaviour patterns - but then again, best to keep an eye out.

Bethesda should plop a grown up Maggie into Fallout 4. A nice story of how she reached her teens and started having flashbacks, and dodgy nightmares, until one night she woke in a cold sweat with the realisation that she had been raised by the killer of her parents. Justice will decorate the walls with Billy's brain matter, and Maggie'll have carried out the death sentence. She'll become a follower for the PC. Trained with weapons by the man who killed her parents...

I reckon he wasted the parents and spotted the baby Maggie, and had a bit of an epiphany on the spot. I wouldn't say he's trying to atone, he just couldn't bring himself to pop a young 'un. As for him being a nonce, it's an entertaining idea, one I had myself at one point, but after hanging around 'em for a while, I thought she seemed too cheerful for someone being fiddled up. Her and Billys place, it gives off the impression ol' Billy is trying hard to be a good carer - whatever his motivations may be.

I have often wondered so myself.
