Bin Laden dead?

Just remember, this isn't making the Taliban go away. I imagine they'll be more disorganized though.

I think if we had stayed focused on him we could've done this a lot sooner. If we had not gotten into Iraq, and waited until after his death or capture to 'liberate' the rest of Afghanistan. We got way too swamped, and now look how long we had to wait for this moment.

For all those who don't have access to news outlets, all major media outlets in the US are reporting this AND that we HAVE THE BODY WITH DNA PROOF.

EDIT: Killed just outside Islamabad, Pakistan in a mansion with other members of his family.

Not to get off topic, but if you have access to the Internet and are reading this, you can access news outlets.

CNN.com
voanews.com
msnbc.com
nytimes.com

etc. etc.

Fox popped up with this exactly as the Simpsons were running toward the couch, and for the first minute I thought it was going to turn out to be some bizarre couch gag.

When did this happen? I was told CIA operatives killed him.

Anyways, none of that really matters. I'm glad the sociopathic, religious zealot, mass murdering scumbag is dead.

The world just got a liitle bit better.

I too hope this topic stays open. Pretty sure anyone with a shred of empathy will agree that what was done, had to be done. Only wish there was a video or something.

We should cut off his head and march it around the streets of NYC.

A few mods have rolled through. I think this is important enough to leave open, even if it is mildly political.

$27 Million to be exact. $25 Million from the State Department, and $2 Million from a fund set up by airline unions.

I go to school a few blocks away from the White House. I'll be joining them after the announcement.
