Well, there's always the classic, but often overlooked method of abstinence.

I agree.

Though B is an esteemed lore scholar (bows to B), this topic is nothing compared to some I've seen on the forums, especially some in Community.

I guess it would be more realistic to show large families in Tamriel at that, at least among the humans.

Yeah, considering half the kids grow up to be bandits that the CoC kills. :hehe:

I recall reading somewhere that the mer races only produce kids when their overall population is declining (wars, predation, famine, disease, etc). Can't recall where I read it, though. :( I think it was in vanilla Morrowind? Maybe Savant's Notes on Vvardenfell...

Dur, magic. :frog:

This. Come on, they use it for everything else, so why not that as well? Plus, I find it very difficult to believe that Tamrielic society could have achieved the level of gender equality we see in the games without some form of effective birth control.

I think it was the Real Biography of Barenziah.

Thats so unsanitary people would probably die!

Well in the olden days people used to do their buisness in a chamberpot and just throw it out the door into the street or into an alley.

Of course, those few kids up in the Iliac Bay will probably grow up to be [censored]s anyway. Their parents always leave them unattended in taverns and other shady places...

I'm not sure if Arkay would approve of birth control. After all, he is "God of the Cycle of Birth and Death." Maybe there'd be some sort of religious policy banning the use of birth control for those who worship the Nine (not a legal ban, but one that would surely have weight in the community).

No, I doubt Martin would join up. If anything, he'd replace/be an aspect of an existing member.

Actually, just what DID Martin do, anyway? So far as I can tell, it's unprecedented.

you have a point there. when they game ends he says something along the lines of "now i go to join my father and my father's fathers" so i guess he's just in TES's version of heaven
as for what did he do I'm not quite sure either...

If we want to follow in-game Bethesda canon (as in, discounting fanmade mods), then very few have the strength nor the willpower needed to remove the dastardly unremovable painted-on underwear! :ahhh:

The exceptions being the folk in High Rock and Hammerfell. So most of our babies come from there.

No. realistically, humans would use pig intestines as protection. Elves arent as fertile as one would think and Argonians need to lick a hist tree or something before mating to have any young.

Khajiit..well i dunno barbs would certainly be a turn off for some females :P

Now, would that come under Destruction, Restoration, or Alteration? Or is it Necromancy?

Alteration, probably. Maybe it would create some kind of barrier... okay, I'm thinking way too hard about this. :P

Ok, you just caused me to get a mental imagine in my head of a small version of the Shield spell glowing around a certain body part. And what's worse, this mental image won't go away. :lmao:

Hey, the Nerevarine overcomes all obstacles. Though that's an image I don't really want either.

oh my God this thread is great.

hmm...
Mysticism manipulates the magical forces and boundaries to bypass the structures and limitations pf the physical world.
Alteration manipulates the physical world and it's properties.
so I would conclude that you could do it with ether. but most likely use alteration.
