Honestly, we still have zero actual information on character creation besides that all the races are in and that there are beads, scars, tattoos, etc. We have no information of if they will have tag skills, specializations, starting perks, or whatever.
A lot of what is happening on this forum (particularly spell making) is due to terrible writing or bad translations. We need much, much more information before we can really get an idea of the big picture.
Honestly, I don't think this could be emphasized enough.
Also, removing birth signs could actually be a very good thing. I would jump with glee if we get to select several perks at the beginning of the game to start out with, essentially bringing back Daggerfall's system. I normally try to play a mage/fighter hybrid, but in Oblivion and to a lesser extent Morrowind, I always resorted to combat and really wasn't very magic oriented in the end. However, in Daggerfall, I actually used magic since my character wasn't gimped by how much magicka he started out with since I could select an advantage that made me increase by three magicka for every intelligence point instead of barley having any magicka.
