So.. my birthday's coming up

Post » Tue Mar 08, 2011 8:32 pm

So yeah. My birthday's on Thursday and I need help on what to get.

So far, I have it narrowed down to; http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826280012&cm_re=Racing_wheel_pc-_-26-280-012-_-Product and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153043

Everyone's saying that "Oh no, don't get the racing wheel, your not a kid anymore.. get a game instead." I'm really into racing games and I think buying this will help with the whole 'immersion' of ACTUALLY racing.

note: I'm getting both, but I don't know if I should just drop the racing wheel and go buy a game instead.

I have the same dilemma but I'm getting:
A globe
And a 5kg lonely planet travelGuide to every country in the world

But if want something how about a magazine subscription
We don't even know how old you are or what console

I'd be pretty [censored] wary of a hoker that's only $70.

Forget buying yourself a birthday gift

Buy me one instead :P

Also looks like you're going to be 21 (congrats! :celebrate:) so I suggest a nice bottle of booze for you to buy.

Best part about booze is you can share it with your friends and family and have a good time :)

It will if you like driving. But I really don't see you getting a brand new luxury car for $130

So, I suggest if you have all the games you want to play already, go for it. If not buy a game.

Buy both, and then buy a game.

Happy birthday btw.

You can get ok nice one at less than 70 over here, but it's illegal.

Even if you don't like driving its the gift that will keep on giving. A game once you are done with it its boring, you forget about it,you sell it, you never play it again,etc..Sure you can't buy a car for $130 but those $130 will be a just waste and you get a HUGE bang for your buck with the car and its more worth it in the end.

Keep on giving? Gas guzzling sports car + maintenance fees + insurance + whatever other expenses, is not my ideal gift.

Like all Epic things in life there are some negatives but those Positives outweigh those tiny insignificant negatives.
