A bit of Industrial Technology in future TES games?

With Skyrim providing a 200 year gap, it seems a tad disappointing that we saw Tamriel advance a grand total of nothing in the technological scheme. Granted there had been decades of political turmoil, distracting from these sorts of innovations, but I think what TES really needs is a drastic change in time orientation.

So, I'd like to ask what kind of technology changes future TES games should have. Should we remain in a mock medieval/dark age, or should Tamriel progress somewhat?. I'll start:

I hope that the next TES games hit a pseudo-industrial revolution, with crude steam technology dotting the place. It would be interesting to see all of this mixing with magic (and Dwemer tech), so the possibilities are virtually endless. One thing I'd love TES to do is to include zeppelin-airships, which are pilotable by the player. This would give an extra plot point, how new technology is affect the provinces, and a unique gameplay perspective. Rangers could now use guns, giving mages a headache in the process. Putting a TES spin on industrial setting is what I think TES needs.

What kind of technology would you want to see in future TES games, if any change at all?

In all seriousness I don't think anything industrial era has a place in TES. I'd hate that. Guns in TES? I'll just get a bucket.

We've seen airships already. I'm not sure if we'll ever get to fly one though.

Pretty much second this.

The only industrial type "stuff" is from the dwemer...though I do hear the Altmer have some fascinating stuff as well....

I'd quite like some quests involving lost Dwemer technology. Make it difficult to obtain, maybe unreliable or unpredictable, but very useful when it works.
An industrial revolution though? No thanks. It would feel like a different series.
200 years is nothing. Until recent times technological progress was very slow and there were periods of history when previously common technologies fell into disuse.

The thing that makes TES universe so epic and wonderful is that in several ways its in a technological stalemate/freeze, TES has always been like a world stuck in a similar way to our Medieval ages and to change that would take away the thing that makes the series so great. I'm afraid your only hope is if Bethesda makes a new IP

I would like to see muskets and industrial type stuff in Elder Scrolls at some point it would be awesome to explore all that in first person. I hope they do it in a future game. This world can't stay as it is forever. They could harness magical energy to power early ships and industrial machines! I would love it
