Bittercup pregnant since yesterday...

Post » Sat Feb 13, 2016 6:59 am

So I got Bittercup from a lunchbox more than 24 hrs ago (when the game started).

And being WOWed by her stats, I proceeded to let her mate with a lowly commoner.

She got pregnant.... AND that's it: Never gave birth and refused to fight or venture out to Wastelands.

Many other dwellers whom were impregnanted later than her have already given birth. Some newborns even had grown up and mated and produced offsprings of their own. I am postitively sure I have gamed for more than 8 hours

And yet poor Bittercup remains preganant till today. A level 40+ lady, with her swelled up belly... manning machinery in the power plant room.

So, developers, appreciate your advice on whether this is a bug. Thanks!

I can't confirm that level or special is a factor since obviously I didn't write the game. However, to throw a monkey wrench in things. I have 32 of 66 housing space filled. I have a LVL 31 dweller also from a lunchbox with high special stats and a regular dweller that is LVL 18 with low Special stats. Both have been pregnant for a but longer then expected. So I don't think level is necessarily a factor. Today I am going to try and figure out two things. 1) How long does it take to get pregnant and how long it takes to give birth. 2) Can you only have 4 children in the Vault? Because it seems like when I do then other pregnant women don't give birth.

Perhaps you're at population cap? If there is no room for more people, pregnant women don't give birth.

It does not seem to be consistent.

I made every female in my Vault pregnant (figuratively)

but they are not dropping in unison...

This is the reason i joined the forums, I have 3 females who have been pregnant for just over 48 real life hours. I'm guessing their timers have become glitched either through rad roach attacks, or failed rushes.

I've also deleted a barracks and rebuilt it in another position, however i cannot be sure that that one was where they concieved.

I did his the population cap with lunch boxes, and proceeded to add another 3 wide level 3 barracks ... im only using 40 / 80 dwellers, so im a bit confused.

I've got pretty much the same issue, however i have had a notification when I've been out of the game that says there is a baby about to be born in your vault, then once i load the game nothing happens. Out of 5 pregnant women only 2 have given birth over the last 2 days and they have both been born while I've had the app open. I'm starting to think it must be a glitch.

I'm looking into how long it really takes to give birth. Once thing I noticed is that once a couple mates both the male and female are at 100% happiness. At the moment my two Dwellers that are not giving birth are at 77% happiness and I can't seem to get it any higher to see if they will give birth. My other option is to mate another couple and test to see if possibly once one female at 100% happiness gives birth if possibly the other two will do so.

I do know that pregnant women will not give birth if there isn't enough room. A lot of people have been commenting that they are at 13 of 26 living space, or 33 of 70. However I'm still trying to confirm a theory that the numbers are your vault capacity. What I mean by that is that when upgrading living quarters the capacity of your vault increases. However, the capacity of the Living Quarters stays the same. For example a double wide living quarter has 4 capacity for the room. I had one pregnant female say when viewing the room that they could not raise a family because there wasn't enough space in the vault. I built a living quarter and they gave birth. This was at the beginning of my first save and I wasn't at vault capacity but I only had like two single living quarters at the time. Once I built one more and merged two single living quarters together then 4 of the 6 women gave birth. The problem with that theory for my current main save game I have three double wide living quarters. I built one single living quarters just to test and it did nothing. I haven't tried building a three wide room yet. I built a three wide room and nothing happened. I destroyed it because my vault is pretty balanced but it wasted my caps.
