I'm at level 21, and I was doing the quest "Crazy, Crazy, Crazy" after recovering the BoS lost laser pistol in Scorpion Gulch. Near the top of the mountain, after dispatching some Super mutants, a deathclaw galloped out of one of the roofed-over areas.

I about wet myself. They're my worse nightmare, and I hate facing them.

Fortunately, Veronica and an upgraded ED-E, along with a few blasts from my riot shotgun, brought that thing down before it could do much in the way of damage. Shooting from the hip while backpedaling ain't my favorite way of doing things, either.

Has anyone else had this happen? Or was it just a random appearance from a leveled list or something? This is my 4th play-through, and I've never had one of those appear there before. Then again, I usually get that question done earlier, but didn't this time.
