I've been playing fallout new vegas for about the past 2 months and all the while I've had this annoying thing happen. During dialogue, if it goes on for too long, or long intros and outros, like at the end of old world blues, the screen goes black and there's sound for a little while, until nothing.

There aren't any messages that I can see. All I can do is restart the PC, but that doesn't solve the problem. I then have to power off and then power back on for the screen to show anything again. So I'm left wondering if its an issue with the game or hardware. The game crashes like this consistently at the end of old world blues in that long outro, at the point where it talks about X-13 and the stealth suit. Is there any way to skip that cutscene by the way?
