Hi everyone
The following problem occurs:

During startup, (crytek-eye, EA-Logo, cryengine3, nvidia) i get a black screen and the green cursor stays. First the animation stops, then nothing can be done. No Ctrl-Alt-Del, not AltF4, no desktop. Funny thing is: I was already able to play Crysis 2 two times and it wqas running smoothly without any problems.............out of like 30 trys to start it. Unfortunately I cant find anything on the internet concerning this problem, exept for Crysis 1, many people had the same problem there, but nothing helps.......

Does anyone have a clue what could cause this problem?
What i did so far:
all drivers are the latest
directx updated
windows updated
Crysis 2 deinstalled and reinstalled

my system:
Windows 7 64bit
Intel(R) Core(TM) i5 CPU 750 @2.67GHz 2.66 GHz
Radeon HD 6850

Got the same thing, only i see the Cryengine logo and nothing else happens, but if i than alt-tab out of the game like 2 times the game seems to start up correctly...

update:
I maneged to start the game.....better said i was lucky........and finished it in one run. at the end, a video starts (dont wanna soil anything) and 3 seconds later, black screen.......

im no good with computer-stuff, but could it be that the videos are somehow the problem? as i already said, the game itself runs perfekt.

thx for the reply. unfortunately when i have the black screen i cant even alt-tab. nothing works anymore and i gotta switch of the computer.

Add +g_skipIntro 1 to your icon shortcut. Might help? Is it a long shot? Yes.

update2:
i checked the unlocked extras, and the epilogue-video is unlocked. when i start it, even in the extras-section, where you can watch the ingame-videos in a small window, i get a black screen. man this is annoying......
