Black Screen.

Hello. I was just recently raiding through wendelbek. I noticed my fps went up quite a bit in the first cell, but didnt mind that much because of the awesome battles and fun I was having. I entered the 2nd floor/cell, and stepped on the platform that activates the gate infront of you and ran through only to have my whole screen turn black. I checked my load order and rebuilt my bash patch on wrye yet the bug kept blacking out my screen at the exact same place everytime. I used to encounter this problem a lot, but have not in a very long time until now. I do not know what causes this, but Im guessing it has something to do with LPOTD conflicting with FCOM? or do I have to start the quest in able to go farther through the dungeon? Thanks

I have no experience of black screens so no help on that, but I've played LPOTD and FCOM several times without issues.

oh ok thanks. I think it might have something to do with a missing mesh or texture. before I get the black screen, I see a long bugged out stretched thing. I remember installing the omod for LPOTD, obmm constantly showed me pop ups if I wanted to replace the textures/meshes. It said they already in my folder, so why not overwrite them was my thought. That most likely is the case :/. Oh well thanks for the help again.

Long bugged out stretched things is an issue with using the wrong skeleton for some NPC's (or some such, I can never remember the particulars). I had the same issue with some Argonian mages in Wendelbek this time around, using FCOM. It's annoying, but it has never led to black screens (never had one in fact) for me. Perhaps it does with the same issue and certain GPUs/drivers?

EDIT: http://www.gamesas.com/bgsforums/index.php?showtopic=1022216&hl= with details on the stretching issue:

One of your mods is changing the skeleton the race uses to the skeleton.Nif insted of the skeletonbeast.nif - which results in them no longer haviing a tailbone on the skeleton to attach the vertices of the tail to !!
