Black screens

Post » Sat Jan 16, 2016 1:43 pm

Hi, I just recently bought fallout 4 and was just now warned of the apparent issues with it and PC. I am getting a black screen on start up and then it kicks me out. Can someone help?

If your GPU is intel then none of your hardware meets the minimum requirements to run this game. CPU, RAM, and GPU all weak.

You have played "The Witcher 3" on that computer? That must have been lagging like crazy, the game is not supposed to run on those specs. Same goes for "Shadow of Mordor".

Theoretically it should run, as the HD 4400 supports Directx 11, but your iGPU is way under the min. req.

That goes for your CPU as well !

You may use the dxcpl thingy to make it run but it may still be unplayable. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EEyD1mvSXE&feature=youtu.be

There may still be crashes ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M1aIWXiXGTw

So you are saying that I either need to buy a new computer or I pretty much wasted $80?

Also, the shadow of Mordor had a slight lag but it ran okay, Black flag has issues with voice syncing and lag during cutscenes, Witcher lags and has cutscene syncing problems but I still managed to play up to crookback bog. What can I say, I'm pretty patient and forgiving when it comes to my computer.

and it played Skyrim and fallout NV without problems until I modded them.

Just don't play fast and loose with your cash without paying attention to system requirements in the future. Sometimes you can wing it, most times you can't.

I guess you have to get a new PC, and don't worry about the game, it will patiently wait in your Steam account until you get better hardware
