Blank ESM?

Gimmie a shout if you want a giant landmass generating. Making a landmass bigger than Vvardenfell is quite easy

I have to say though, making a blank esm is the way to go John.Moonsugar explained exactly how it should be done, and how i would do it, and its pretty easy. I wouldnt bother with opening up the Morrowind.esm in the CS and deleting everything then saving as a plugin, will cause you more problems than anything.

Plus, you can edit the chargen scripts so you can start the game in whatever cell you like. I managed to do it fine, without editing the ini

Also, by default, in any form of plugin, the ground is below the water. The water level is at 0 on the z axis, and the terrain is at -2048 on the z axis. Not sure how you came to think that the land is ever above the water by default, unless ive misunderstood something

I'm not exactly sure what you are describing, but if you delete all vanilla cells, then I believe you will have to do something about making a custom chargen and starting cell, and you'll have to change the [Preload] section of Morrowind.ini to use the new starting cell.

I made a small test, imported a single BB set to make a race, class, and everything one PC would need, made my own chargen. Also made a script that enabled all the functions for PC, and sets him to cell. No .ini settings were needed for that, it worked fine.

However, what I meant is, when I launched Morrowind and it loaded everything, I never got a menu if I want to load a game or create a new one, it just placed me into the cell right away. And I can't Save or Load or Exit from in game, because it crashes.

I didn't deleted all cells, I simply did all I mentioned in the 1st paragraph in CS without opening anything and saved that as a plugin file.

Um, I am not the TC expert, but I do have some advice for you. If you want to go the "delete everything and make my own" route, then make sure you keep the chargen scripts and the main script (which calls the chargen script in the beginning of the game). I have played around with "no loaded esp/esm" in construction set, and it always crashes immediately when you start one for this reason. The morrowind executable is an engine with defined rules for operating with data, and when the exe file runs it runs the script "main" upon startup.

Then, since you have no component data, MW will hang at this point. You need to have the starting cell defined somewhere (MW uses the chargen script) and fonts defined in the proper places in the data folders. This alone will not let you make a TC base, but I think you at least get to where the engine will give you an error telling you what it needs and you can fill in any needed data at that point. I am currently using someone elses blank with chargen esm for landscaping and I figure to change that to my own later.

I'm not gonna tell you don't try to make a TC (I'm trying to do one myself), just understand that it is a HUGE task. And good luck
