I just rolled up a new character in Skyrim and I am in Bleak Falls Barrow. The three Puzzle Pillars will not activate (I have Dawn Guard) . Has anyone else attempted to roll up a new character or have they gone into a dungeon with a pillar puzzle? Please advise. Obiviously this could be game breaking.

I am re-downloading Dawn Guard and roll up new character -- again. I will report results.

Re-Downloading Dawn Star did not fix the issue. I am rolling up an entirely new character. Will see what happens.

I rolled up a new character using the same gamertag. This time, I started from "new" in the menu, instead of using "prisoner save 1" (so that you can skip the opening scenes). This time the pillars worked. I don't know if it was the character itself that was bugged or the fact that I was using an old "prisoner save 1" file.

I did this quest yesterday for DG and had no problems moving the plinths. It might be worth removing the games data on the HDD including the patch and installing and downloading the patch again.

I had the same problem with a brand new character that I clicked new for. I just had to load the last save and they worked.

I just did this quest 30 minutes ago and it worked fine. Have Dawnguard installed.
