Blender and gauntlets mesh problem

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 3:30 pm

So i'm trying to make a 3rd and a 1st person meshes for my Randagulf's fists replacer mod. Been trying to get them to work, but all i get is bunch of errors like:

- Meshes wont show up

- They show up, but the guy's hands are gone and both gauntlets are on the left side of the person in ridiculous positions

- Sometimes there are four gauntlets and none of them are in the right position.

Im using Blender and Nifscope for 3D editing.

Is there any way to make them work properly, or do i have to (and i realy don't want to) cast this mod aside?

I was having similar trouble with a dress.

The problem was with the settings I chose on Importing into Blender. I figure it's safest to start with the original mesh, import, save & see if the mesh still works ingame with the import settings you chose. After you find safe settings, go on editing.

Also had issues if opening several nifs for previewing on a separate mesh. So be careful if opening several different nifs (even after deleting all unneeded parts); keep plenty of backups.

Well, now it got them working in third-person, but they still wont show up in first-person. Any ideas?

I'm not sure what exactly could be your problem with the 1st person mesh - there could be several.
If you send me the 1st prsn gauntlets I could check them and fix - if you wish.

I got them to work couple days ago. I don't even know how i did it, but i tested it in CS and in the game itself, and they seemed to work properly. Might as well save that file to somewhere else if i ever make other armor replacers.

Mod might take sometime to be released. Not because of the errors, but because i got addicted to Skyrim. :tes:

Thanks anyway.

Edit: This thread can be closed because the problem is solved.
