Blender Export Question

I'm using 2.69, when i export a mesh, i'm using the default grid system and perhaps the default units, if there is a way to change the units,

anyway, the mesh is super tiny in game, it looks fine in nifskope, and its also tiny in 3ds max.

should i just bring in a vanilla nif to compare sizes, or is there a standard i should be using to get the size right?
