I do not believe I know what Gmax is. I use blender, though my modeling skills are rediculously limited. My abilities extend to pretty much being able to make several sized boxes. :P

Whered you here that? I really doubt Bethesda would use a downgraded version of 3dsmax. They probably used something even better than that. Often gaming companies will buy the super awsome software that costs like 2 grand because an experienced moddeler can do awe inspiring things with it. And please don't tell me gmax is free...

Blender, because it's free and it's what I've gotten used to, though the camera controls still drive me crazy at times.

Blender has the best support in the community in terms of game compatibility and user base. You will get help much quicker with blender.

Well you can resize them, and how big is your screen? I have a rather large 21", and its all big enough for me to easily use. Whereas on my moms older computer with a crappy 15" 800x600, you cant do anything. :P

I use Blender because:

1. It is Free.

2. There are Fo3 tutorials of many varieties made.

3. There are many Active forum users knowledgable in Blender, less so with Gmax.

4. Blender is easy to use.

Your right - I am insane.

Okay Blender is not any easier to use than Gmax... :brokencomputer:

However! I can honestly say that once you get to know Blender, it's Awesome. :)

Personally I found both yours and Artisten's video tutorials critical to that process - folks should take note.
