Blender Text Buffers for Creatures

Post » Fri Mar 08, 2013 4:20 pm

I'm working with making creatures. For the first time in weeks of trial and error, I've managed to make a creature that DOESN'T crash the game when I'm in a cell with it. So far, it's a cube. I set its movement to flying so that I wouldn't have issues with the stepbox height. Currently, its only animation group is idle, and it only works as a flying creature.

My questions are:
1. How can I make a collision box for the creature in Blender?
2. How do I resolve the "stepbox height of 0" crash for non-flying creatures?
3. What do I need to write for the non-looping animation groups in the text buffers?

The ONLY text buffers I've added that are recognized by the CS are the Idle anim group buffers:
1/Idle: Start/Idle: Start Loop
75/Idle: Stop/Idle: Stop Loop

I've also tested the same thing with Attack1:
76/Attack1: Start/Attack1: Start Loop
125/Attack1: Stop/Attack1: Stop Loop

But Attack1 doesn't show up in animation groups.

Due to limitations on my computer, I haven't managed to get a BSA unpacker working, so I haven't been able to test in-game nifs for comparison. Can someone PLEASE help me? Even if someone could PM me the text buffers on a default creature, it would be a huge help!
