BlenderNif Issues (alpha, glowmaps, double sided planes)

Post » Mon Nov 11, 2013 1:00 pm

So I've been running into some trouble with blender recently, and up until now, these are problems I've been able to work around using nifscope, and I still can, it's just having to do a number of these things manually in nifscope for every new mesh I want to make with these properties gets tedious and tiresome.

Here are the things I want to know:

-How do I get blender to export a .nif with an nialphaproperty on an object? I haven't for the life of me figured out how to do this.

-How do I add glow/bump ect. maps to an object in blender, and get blender to export the objects with those maps?

-How do I make planes export doublesided? I have the "double sided" button on, and it seems to work fine with everything that I DON'T want to be double sided (I often have to re-export things since that button is on by default and I often forget to turn it off) but whenever I make an object that contains a single plane constructed of four vertices and one face it doesn't work.

-How do I get textures with alpha to actually display as transparent, in blender? This one has been bothering me a lot. I didn't used to have this problem, but now in texture view even when I have an object mapped to a texture that has alpha the object window displays the texture without alpha. What's going on here?

Sorry if that's a lot of questions, but solving these problems would be a lifesaver for me, you have no idea. :P
