Frankly its awesome. I can be sitting only playing by myself then my buddies can jump into my game and we can own the AI team. The jump online and take on all comers what's not to like about it?

if the game turns out to be a total sea of BS multiplayer wise (which i doubt but just go with me) then whats cool is, i can still level up and experience cool [censored] by myself, AND with my friends, BS free. Honestly out of all the great ideas going on with this game, this is the best, not like i dont love the others as well :P

The coop aspect is what will save this game if the community totally ruins it. Left 4 Dead you only needed three friends to have an enjoyable game. But once you had a 5th guy you were stuck with making a choice on changing the game mode or excluding someone. Brink you can do 5-6-7+ and still have all your friends in the game. When you get to 6 you could even do 3/5 vs 3/5 using bots. Wolf ET didn't have bots so the only way that game was fun is if you had 10-12 people playing which is hard to do without organization. In L4D it's easier to spontaneously find 3 people to play with than 9+. Brink it doesn't matter either way. And then both you and your friends can always start over on a new character and try something else. The leveling system also sound balanced and casual enough that even if people find a way to hack themselves to all stats it still wouldn't break the game for the other team. They're just a high level character who skipped over legitimate progression. Wallhacks and aimbots would be best controlled with server refs.

im pretty sure the way they set this up is---...--- if you complete single-player campaign, have your character decked out, customized the way you want, and overall bad-ass, you don't have to go through the same crap again in multiplayer.... im also pretty sure they also made going from single to multi player smoother (no exiting and reloading the game {call of duty, and most other games} in order to switch from single to multiplayer)

That's how games used to be made! I don't know how that nonsense got started.

Single player aspects of games are sometimes overlooked with multiplayer being the selling point. So having a system that allows you to earn XP whilst playing on your own and then seamlessly enter multiplayer is really appealing, as you don't feel like your missing out by not being in a multiplayer game all the time. :celebration:

I'm wondering how this compares to Borderlands. I really like the option to play the campaign thru alone, and actually have a good story behind it, but being able to do it with coop players is icing on the cake. Has there been an official word on how long the Brink campaign is going to be? I'm still on the fence about it, I don't want another TF2 with a short campaign. I never could stay interested in TF2, just feels like deathmatch to me, but my ideal game was Borderlands with a bit better pc development and not have that atrocious field of view and lack of aiming precision. Help me out here guys.

I love it! If I am getting mad at teamates who are going lonewolf on me then I can play with bots. Also, I can do a team building exercise with me soon to be clan to try strategies against bots. Also, playing online and not going "Awww.....half my team left" because I have bots is soooooo awsome. I just hope they aren't stupid like the Gears of War 2 bots who have perfect aim but hide on the wrong side of cover....

you've never heard of BoBot, Fritzbot (best imo) or omni-bot

you have no idea what you're talking about, Fritzbot was so good id Software hired the guy who made it

I didn't like Omni-bots paths on supply depot, probably had a dated build but they svcked on attack lol. Didn't really spend hours on it though, just for shooting practice.
